Maybe Hector seemed better to me because Eliwood was so weak comparatively.

I think Hector gets some points over PoR Ike for being stronger amongst weaker competition in the early game. Hector has Wolf Beil and durability when your only other really decent units are Marcus and Oswin, while Ike has to try and keep up with Titania and Oscar (and the early game of PoR is pretty easy anyways). I'd actually compare him more with Eirika, both have pretty strong effective damage and aren't *bad* in the early game in a vacuum, but both are in fairly easy games with strong early mounts.

Even in hard mode, he can solo the game.

Significantly cheaper than the NA versions. Ebay prices are around 50-70 bucks.
Never played Lunatic, but maybe it's worth more because of that.
