I tried to buy Map Pack 1 with my special edition version, and it's telling me that I already own some of the DLC.
What maps are included with the SE? Should I buy the Map Pack anyway?
The JPN voice for her is EVEN WORSE.oh god Felicia's voice is so bad
This game is really, really damn good. That is all.
I think it fits her character perfectly.
better than Awakening?
So I am trying to get the other 2 versions with my digital game and I got Conquest, but everytime I try to buy Revelations it says that no downloadable content is avalible. Anyone else having this problem?
Absolutely not since the pair up is even more vital now that the enemies can do it and some of the changes made.Hey folks, new to the series here. Awakening never really clicked for me, as the pair up mechanic really irked me. Im familiar with Shining Force and FFT, and was looking forward to another strategy rpg, but was bummed out by the limited actions any one unit cold perform, and having to pair up nearly all your units to have them be worth anything drove me nuts.
Would this one be more up my alley or what?

Gameplay this one blows awakening out of the water, story and cast is kinda subjective. I think I prefer Awakening's cast, but both stories kinda suck.

I give, I changed my difficulty from Hard to Normal on Conquest. Avert your eyes from my shame.

Pair up is way different in this game than in Awakening. When pairing up two characters, support units provide attack and defensive bonuses but they will never attack which means you can't just blow through the game. However, you can have two units attacking at the same time if they're adjacent to each other but they won't provide bonuses. This means positioning is even more important than Awakening. Also don't forget enemy units can team up now too.
It's pretty much a stance-like system now and the game is better for it.
Did you download Before Awakening?
Yeah, I did. Is that the reason?
Eh while I really like some of the changes in Fates, I think they threw everything but the kitchen sink in, which not all are good and sometimes over complicates.
What do you mean it's a stance like system. You mean that pairing up is defense and splitting up would be offense, then?
Yup. You're better off leaving characters unpaired if you plan on going offensive.
It basically turns the game over condition into "let anyone die" versus "let the Lord die." Casual mode however doesn't punish you for that; even if someone dies, they'll be back after the mission anyway.Well at least there's a reason to do so now. Eh, I'll give it a shot. Lemme ask the tired question though. Difficulty modes? The thing I never understood about the permadeath mechanic in fire emblem, is that it seems so punishing that everyone would just reset their game if a single person died. How is that functionally any different than just using the non permadeath option?

Yeah, def gonna try the undub thing because of this.Yeah I agree.
I can't stand her.
Because if you're playing on Casual instead of Classic, you can easily make use of way riskier tactics, or even use straight-up sacrificial ones. It doesn't matter if you lose the Paladin you've been training for 20 chapters by sending him into a horde of Berserkers, because he'll be back the next mission - and now you don't have as many Berserkers to deal with!
Lies. True Fire Emblem players never let a unit die, no matter how many resets it takes.Lost Felicia on the first battle. Oh well. The true Fire Emblem starts here. No reloading like a filthy casual.
He's good, but he pretty much always needs a homie next to him or he can't hit shitI don't like Arthur. Is he a good unit, should I suffer for his sins or can I forget about him. Is it worth working on Mozu like that guy from Awakening?
Whats the reward for saving atleast 3 houses in chapter 8 Conquest? I can only get to two of them and get 5K gold.

Is one version longer than the other?
Yeah, def gonna try the undub thing because of this.
Anyone else think Hinoka sounds like a cross between Tommy Pickles and Buttercup?

It's possible. Trust me.It's not designed to be possible on the higher difficulties without dying or grinding.
