I feel like I'm wasting so much SP/HM doing trials with my best dudes. :\

I know what you mean, I've literally got nothing left to teach my Bridelia and she has TONS of level 3 skills and assists thanks to the previous trials. I just want the quickest clear, so I'll stick with her and my other top units.

I'm trying to rotate out my best units to help grind HM/SP on my mid-tier ones for this reason. It's silly because I find I use my top-tier units a whole lot less once they hit max SP/HM.

I guess it depends on who you have, if you've got a maxed out Bride Cordelia, the trials are mostly a quick cakewalk. I've got an Alm I'm only using for the bonus and all he is doing is providing an +3 attack buff and the odd kill if it's guaranteed.

I know what you mean, I even started to use Donnel.

Currently sitting just above 6k and got the silver Tobin. That will do for today, I find this iteration of trials is almost twice easier than the first version.

Units staying dead makes a huge difference in the last round, providing you still have have units left in your pool to secure the remaining kills.

Got a second 5* Peri off the Summer banner. It's Spd+/HP-. I'm thinking I should merge my existing one into it, though is there anyone who needs a Killer Lance+? (The existing one is Def+, Res-.)

I think Clarisse probably has my favorite character design in the game that I've seen thus far. She is insanely badass!

Btw, I've been checking some of the IVs of my characters.. is this like Pokemon where you could theoretically get a "high" IV for every trait? Or is it like, for every high you get a low? The calculator page I'm looking at doesn't have a note suggesting a theory either way.

It's always +/- or neutral. I'd also recommend quoting that image.

It's more like the natures in Pokemon (one up, one down).

did one run of tempest trials, seems like there aren't any really obnoxious maps. Final map was easy, but they were mostly red and I had TA2 MRobin.

Guess I should probably spend some of Alm's 1300 SP...

so umm I finally got F-Robin.

What's a good build.

since their stats are identical you could turn her into a genderswap of the standard MRobin with Gronnraven from a Cecilia, Triangle Adept, Quick Riposte.

there isn't much better you could do with her. -wolf tomes aren't that useful even with cavalry running rampant in arena. I mean I have a 5* ursula and never use her default tome because blade tomes are much better, and her attack power without one is miserable.

Runs are a lot faster than last time. Last time, things really bogged down on a few maps.

Umm summer Robin, my bad for not clarifying.

Anyway, I think I'm leaning towards TA and just using her to tank reds.

Isn't Summer Robin a lance user? The original tome F-Robin from GHB isn't available anymore.

If he is talking about Summer Robin, I would max Lance Valor first and farm like mad. With this double SP event, you will get 12 SP per kill, which is nuts. I currently use Swift Sparrow, Drag Back and Lance Valor. I think she comes with Reposition and Chilling Wind. My Robin is + SPD, so that gives me 41 speed when I attack, which is almost a guaranteed double in every battle.

I will swap Lance Valor eventually for a better C slot but like I said, 12 SP per kill is not to be sniffed at. I've more than made back the SP investment I put in Valor and that was before the double SP event started.

Arena Ferox (the breakable brick map) was brutal; also the rescue maribelle one (with the cliffs and chokepoint in the forest) could take forever.

However, it also had the easiest map by far the one with cordelia joins with only flier enemies (which any archer with a dancer can 3 turn).

Umm summer Robin, my bad for not clarifying.

tbh, it would have been more amazing if you got GHB Robin out of GHB.

I don't know if it's because of the changes they made, or if the improvements to my teams is working, but Tempest Trial is much more enjoyable than last time.

I use the same team as last time and find it about as tedious. It doesn't help that the rewards (unit and seals) are significantly worse.

The only aspect I genuinely like is the final map music.

After like 3 tries I finally beat the Ch.1+2 ten battle chain challenge. In the end it was just Olivia and Reinhardt left standing. Both with like 3hp left lol. Camilla really messed me up in battle 9 killing my Kagero. Had to sacrifice Nino in the 10th so that Reinhardt can get the jump on the remaining few enemies. Reinhardt is such a beast. Just tears through everything.

Damn that was intense. 4 orb reward is so satisfying.

Is Fury/Swordbreaker still considered a good set for Nowi? I got a +spd -res Nowi who I'm about to start working on and this set is interesting me the most

Some of you are saying that these Tempest Trials maps are easier than the first set? I disagree.

I still get As in speed, but my survival has gone down dramatically. I was able to beat Lunatic 7 consistently in the last event, but I've only won it once so far. It came down to the wire, too.

I basically have to do Lunatic 5. The lack of a 40% bonus unit really sucks, but I'll still get to 40K.

well they are easier for me because I'm cheesing it with a cavalry team. The breakable walls map and two tree maps in the previous one were very tedious. This one I can kind of just bum rush the enemies every time.

I should really switch over to a different squad just to farm SP. Cecilia still has like 3000...

what a skill do people usually give xander? i was without any fury fodder for weeks so i just put hp+5 on him but so far not having fury hasn't been much of a problem

I should really level up Wrys if I ever manage to get him. The Old Man 👴 has a great bunch of skills.

Defensive tiles + no Veronica make the final map much easier. I've yet to actually lose on that map, even the time I lost Eirika on map 4.

I keep dying on the earlier maps though. Positioning feels more awkward on these maps than in the previous Tempest Trial.

5312 points so far. It takes so damn long if you only get ~600 max (and I never get that, because Sharena is my bonus unit and that team has no healer in it). 579 was max with A time and B survival so far.

God, this will be aids.

definitely not going for the 100k grind. I think that may have burned me out on the game pretty badly.

I have situational use for that seal though, they like to put -breaker and -sweep stuff in GHBs and other challenge maps these days.

I'm up to 9000 points so far, and I've only lost once due to WoM/Reinhardt shenanigans. At this pace I should be able to get all the rewards. I was completely burnt out by about 40000 points last time, and stopped once I reached 50000.

Having a bit more fun with this Tempest Trial versus the last one, though it's more due to the fact that dead enemy units stay dead/have half their HP remaining this time around.

Probably my only gripe (if even) is that I wish that it wasn't 20 stamina per round. Between grinding out more SP in the tower and then doing Tempest is that I use more stamina pots faster than I can earn it back naturally.

1.5.1, eh? I wonder what was updated...? 🤔

Per reddit, it may be related to the orb login issue.

I didn't really have an issue but then again, the only issues I was having was with Panic Ploy working correctly and I think that's already been fixed.

There's almost no way I can lose tempest trials due to the amount of decent 5* characters I have, but now I have to choose between using the units I haven't maximised so they can gain HM and SP or choosing between my strongest units that often have maxed HM and no need of more SP to form the most efficient team to maximise my score. I'm liking the changes they've made though they'd be even better if I had a +40% unit. Certainly not opening my wallet for a chance at a character I don't like so I don't have to play as much, though.

Honestly I've hit a rut with this game recently. The arena just aggravates me because I'm not a competitive person and I'm sick of seeing the same few units paired with a dancer, but the core character promotion currency is bound to it so I have to tolerate it. Tempest Trials is a long grind with worse rewards than last time, and the new modes are just the same old tired story content recycled for the nth time. GHBs are pretty interesting but once you've solved them they're over.

They've been making some really nice changes around the rewards you get for completing tasks, but the core's just the same old tired stuff. Perhaps I've finally hit my limit after seeing other gacha titles like Fate/Grand Order and Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. I'm definitely considering charging to 40k in these trials then switching to 'log in for rewards daily' mode for a while.

The changes to the Tempest Trails definitely make it more manageable. And the final map is much easier this time.

I do still wish they bolstered the points for Lunatic though.

Use Tempest to grind up some back-up units for when they introduce Infernal Squad Assault.

It's been fairly obvious for a while now that they are trying to transition end-game into a more "team" oriented thing so that you can't face everything with just your core team of 4 Sakuras or whatever. Got to start making some back up teams to have ready to support your core team.

I love how I can just do Hard 5 tempest trial instead of Lunatic 7, hard is so much easier, always get max speed, and never need more than 2 teams, run take 5 minutes instead of 15-20. Its still 2/3rd of the max points, but I can squeeze them into short timeframes.
