All you people with 5-stars and here I am stuck with nothing but trash from my pulls. I knew getting Lightning in FFBE was going to tank my luck for a while.

/sigh

Here. It's tied to our general Fire Emblem GAF Discord server, which is linked in the OP.
Thanks!
I've barged into the FE Discord sometime in the past, but I never chatted before :'D
Not sure how I can add my info to the spreadsheet, but I guess I'll just spam requests to everyone on there, hohoho

So when are we supposed to reroll? After the first chapter when you end up with 20 orbs?

well, use those orbs to summon 5 characters. If you're not happy, delete the game and reinstall it (reroll). Some people summon 4 directly without doing the first chapter so they can reroll faster.

EDIT: you should end up with 20 orbs after only three levels, not the entire chapter. The owl in the castle gives you two orbs.

Hi all - Finding it really hard to get a good ranged character. Should I abandon ranged if I have a better melee do you think? I have a 4*Barst axe wielder or should I stick with a 3* Niles bowman who is absolute garbage against anything other than flying types.

Feel free to add me btw - 067 249 7308

Ymmv but my Niles was also a mage killer he had ludicrous res and while a noodle arm he had enough strength to manage taking down mages long before they could really hurt him. His special is also pretty fucking stellar for extra damage. That said in terms of range I prefer a knife/shuriken user for the debuffs or a mage if you have a good one. you can live without ranged for now if you can keep your melee dudes alive long enough for them to beat the snot out of any enemy ranged units.

Speaking of noodle arms Lonqu is pretty close to getting benched now that we're in the latter half of hard mode. Donnel might never double naturally but he's got 33 atk and a brave sword I can equip.

Lol just rolled five new characters and they were all three stars. Oh well. Still looking for a flier to train for the February challenge too!

Man, my first roll REALLY spoiled me... last two I got mostly chaff, with three 4 Star units only, one of which was a duplicate. I mean, I got two Fredericks and a Gunter! Nobody needs that many Jagens!

Overall though I have a decent team. From what it looks like, the "increase in odds for a 5 Star" only applies to the banner you're rolling, right? If so I'll probably keep on it with that one (Deep Devotion) until I pull a 5 and then sort of wait until the next round... they said two weeks, right?

I'm curious how big the story updates will be. One new chapter means less than one roll. Two chapters, a roll and a half. Three chapters and you've got slightly more than two.

5-star Hector is kind of a beast. He can only move 1 square a turn, but has a million HP (approx.), deals a ton of damage, and eventually learns a skill that lets him counterattack from any range, which helps a lot considering his slow move speed.

He pairs really well with 5-star Focus Marth and a healer/ranged character.

My only 5* so far. But damm, she does some damage.

Ryoma is broken. Has tons of damage and can counter ranged units. Also boosts attack when hp is beloq half and boosts speed of adjacent units.

I'm facerolling with him. He has a beastly attack stat.

These are my two main heroes.

Got Ryoma and 5* Fae from a reroll so I think I'm done. Other 3 pulls are garbage but I'll get other opportunities to summon.

Doing a bit more in depth unit analysis to figure out how to judge characters. So here's two very different archers that I have in my team.

Niles obviously is a mage killer and can take magic attacks without much trouble. Given that magic spells are all 2 range right now anyway, him being at 2 range too makes him a very good counter. He also has a special skill that adds 50% of his res stat into attack, so given that he has high resistance, that adds a good chunk of damage when his special is up as well. His high speed will help him making 2x attacks which also reduces his special cooldowns faster. He also has passive skills that can give him +6 res when he attacks. His skills are very synergistic and he seems like an awesome specialist. Low def means he'll have trouble left alone, especially against calvary that can close in on him.

Gordin has slightly higher attack compared to Niles and that's always good to see. He also has very high def for an archer and pretty low speed. But the low speed doesn't really matter because he can learn Brave Bow which makes him attacks twice when initiating combat. This does mean he will take 2x hits quite often though, but if he's defending against physical attacks it shouldn't be a problem. He doesn't have a special skill to take advantage of him taking more hits unfortunately. He also has the support skill Shove which pushes allies 1 space, no clue how useful that is yet. He has a passive that grants up to +3 atk, and also vantage that lets him counterattack first below a certain HP threshold. Since he can't counterattack melee attacks, this probably means he can be a specialist to hunt units with bows and knives. His abysmal res means he's awful against mages though.

So if I put these two in the same team, you can counter all ranged units pretty well.

Got 5* Tiki on my 5th summoning session. Nice.

I think only have 2 or 3 more sessions before the in-game orbs dry up. The next few sessions are gonna be tense.
I need Sakura.

I would add a ranged character. I have two and they easily pick up the most kills. My Takumi has an ability that he will hit back when attacked at close range, which a massive asset.

Correct me if I am wrong, on the focus banner one there is only blue and red focus unit. So, depends on the orb colour you essentially have

Blue: 3% chance of Robin, 3% chance of other 5* Blue
red: 1% Chance of Tiki/Marth/Lucina each, 3% chance of other 5* red
green: 3% chance of 5* green
colorless: 3% chance of 5* colorless

So, if you get into a unfavourable color line up (something like 3 colorless + 1 red + 1 green), you are better off roll on the red, then quit and forbeit the discount?

Ryoma is a pushover every time I've faced him. Same with Takumi. Robin tho, damn, what a tank. Has like 20+ def and res at lvl. 30.

Is the spell "Psychic" broken or am I doing something wrong? It says it's supposed to restore 8 HP to target and all allies within 2 spaces of target, but I have two troops standing next to each other who both need healing and I cast it on one of them and it does absolutely nothing to the other one.

I cleared 7x arena battles on hard but only got 2750 points, which obviously isn't anywhere close to the highest you can get.

So I wonder what modifies arena scores, using one of the ten characters listed obviously does, but I also had that too.

Things I can think of...
Having more characters alive per battle
Opponents having higher star characters
Using lower star characters
How about not bringing a full team?

Robin is awesome.

I use ryoma as a counter hero, i dont usually push with him.

I use Robin and kagero to push. With nowi guarding them.

After almost 15 hours worth of re-rolls I finally got a 5* Tharja, it's going to hurt a bit to throw a 5* Camilla account into the abyss (especially since she is stronger) but I can't pass up Tharja.

Okay I did my first multi and I got Lyn as my 5 star. Worth keeping?

Also, is there any way to tell which are base 4 stars?

So I didn't re-roll after I got Robin and played until I got 20 more orbs and pulled some more.

This is what I pulled.
So I think I'm good on pulling for a while.

Also for anyone in this thread I haven't added. My ID is 9114986413

The thing is, the AI just goes YOLO, so you need stuff that can survive a turn to offer a challenge. Apparently, you can also earn defense arena points which earns you feathers per season too. So a good team would be a balance between your own arena playing and your team acting as an AI arena opponent.

Yeah I'm not understanding these tier lists myself. Camilla is higher up on the Tier List but I've seen Robin at the same level consistently take more damage while also dealing it out at higher numbers too. I feel like I need to look at all the lists to see why.

Never played a Fire Emblem game before. The story and art don't seem to do much for me, but I like tactics games. For just the gameplay- is this worth putting some time into?

First chapters are easy, but later on the difficulty ramps up and you really need to think your movements and troops. Also, there are higher difficulty levels to spice things up. I think it's worth it.

So I beat the first three chapters in story mode and leveled up my team in training mode a few times.

Does the game introduce any new mechanics later on or have I experienced all the game have to offer? Because it has felt pretty repetitive so far (especially since you don't have to worry about permadeath and can be careless with your team) and it seems like the driving force is to level up your characters/roll for new ones.

This is an interesting way of looking at things and I'll probably read it over again later but as a comment on the Shove skill I've honestly been using it on my Mounted units (Camilla) to give them an extra free space of movement to close the gap on attacking a unit.

I'm sure there might be other uses or better ones but that's how I've been going about using it.

There will probably be newer/more complicated challenges later, but this isn't supposed to replace regular Fire Emblem. It's a phone game you play when you have 10-15 mins a day after the initial rush wears off.

Yep, that's about it. The main change as characters level up is that the color triangle and various "effective against X" abilities become extremely important, whereas early on you can mostly brute force everything.

So finishing all the quests for February resets the quests but makes them only capable of being completed if you're on Hard mode. Sucks though because I think I'm just below being able to finish a Hard Mode Map.

Effie has pretty ridiculous attack stat.

That doesn't even factor into that she has a passive skill that grants her +6 atk on attack and then also another passive skill that prevents 2x attacks for both parties so who cares about low speed, holy crap.

I've been using this tier list, it favors actual unit skillsets over general draw star count, and has categories for each type of unit:

http://feheroes.wiki/Tier_List

Anyways, I'm pretty happy with my main party at this point. Lucina (sadly, I don't like her but she's a great unit), Tiki, Clarine, and my MVP Jeorge. I reallllly want a Takumi and Camilla though, so as soon as I get more orbs I'm pulling on that banner.

But note that she only moves one space at a time, so she's rarely getting to attack until after something else has moved to attack her. The armored characters are all extremely powerful to make up for that drawback. I think they end up working pretty well against the AI since it'll move and attack anything that enters its range, but you definitely don't want her on your leftmost PVP team.
