First Live PS5 Photos from NCC Listing - includes Accessories

The official dimensions given by Sony for the Disc version are Approx. 390mm x 104mm x 260mm (width x height x depth)(excludes largest projection, excludes Base). So that is 15.35 inches long x 4.09 inches high x 10.24" wide.

Going by the images here though that excluded "largest projection" adds quite a good amount onto the length. The first top down view looks to be around 490mm if I'm looking at it right, which is over 19" long including the projections.

Is that accurate?

If so that projection adds like 3.5 or 4 inches" to the length??? So to actually fit in a rectangular area is going to need more like 19-20" and not 15.5"...

yeah Sony's measurements Were on the small side for sure
 
Meh, looks okay. Not the greatest design in the world, but still more interesting than Microsofts boring box look they've got going for the series x and s.
 
I thought it looked great when it was unveiled but having seen these photos, I think it's a design failure. It looks grotesque in some of the shots. Any console that needs a stand is a joke. It's 2020 for fucks sake. Still buying day one but fuck me it's bad. Won't even fit in my TV stand so I'm gonna have to stand it upright. Literally never had to do that ever with a console before and I've been gaming since Master System.

Damn that thing is humongous, hideous at any angle made and even worse by the bright white plastic that looks like it got warped by the 2.23 overclock

Why do these fins protrude so much? And to think that Sony's dimensions for the console do not include the protruding fins.

I just think this console was way over designed for the sake of looking edgy.
 
My God that is ugly as hell but I'm glad we at least get to see one in the wild! I also don't see a hdd expansion port so im thinking one of the side plates is removable and the expansion bay will be accessible under that maybe?
 
In general, I dislike the PS5's look, but browsing the official website, I get the impression the system was meant to be displayed vertically and with the digital version's physique foremost in mind, as the disc drive has become some extraneous appendage. I look forward to the eventual breakdowns and seeing what this thing actually looks like on the inside.

that phatness is cool. from front in horizontal it doesnt look phat and thats good. yh it should be more quiet then my gtx 1060 laptop , because ps4 pro is jet loud .
those better quality shots from front looks like its not that high just over 40cm so 40x30 its not that big
