First PlayStation 5 console hands-on reveals mysterious nut
Over the weekend, PlayStation 5 was confirmed to be real and not just a figment of our collective imaginations, as a ha…

As spotted by 4Gamer, and picked up on by The Verge, a curious metal nut or bolt can be seen when peering into the PS5's casing on the upper right. That report suggested the nut allows you to remove the PS5's contoured shell and access its innards - which may be where its expandable SSD slot is hiding. As of yet, Sony is still to show how and where this can be accessed.
Alright, I want to hear some theories about this nut. Is it tied to SSD expansion? Is it holding the whole device together? WHAT'S THE NUT FOR, JIM?
Edit: new theory!
It's not a nut, as how would you get a tool in there to turn it.
It looks like a switch/lock. Depress it, and then can slide off the panel.
Based on previous shots of the inside of the panel, depressing that switch, means the panel would slide off in the opposite direction (towards the bottom of the console), which can only happen if the PS5 is not in the tower position. You have to lay it on it's side.
