Yeah I'm kidding. It's mostly a jab at people who like to mention secret sauce every chance they get.Um, the game discs go in the disc drive. Unless you get the digital edition. Then you have to download the games from psn. And they already showed 6 launch titles. No secrets
Custom panels so needs to be a thing.
If they come on and off relatively easily I guess people will just make 'em anyway, no need for Sony to make it an official feature.

Take your good sense elsewhere! We have nut to talk about!
Sony driving people nuts?
That's what I call "concerned"Guy: Questions about PS5
You: Answers XsX
Wow.
I'm surprised they still haven't shown anything, with a handful of weeks till release date. Imagined it they came out and said you can't upgrade this edition, but only the "pro" version. What I hoping is that it's a bit how the PS4's was. You just EXTRACT the nut and then JAM a 2 tb SSD in there and you're good for the next 5 years.

Wow.
Does anyone know. Do you replace the SSD in PS5 or just ad extra memory?
Are you implying that I'm an Xbox fanboy? Nope, as I said in other threads, I'm a Sony owner, i have right now a PS3, PS4, PS Vita and PS Vita Tv. Never put my hands on an Xbox. In 2013, when PS4 was on the horizon, on this date we knew A LOT more, that we know now with PS5. In fact, by July Digital Foundry got his hand on the console (PS4) and tested Killzone Shadowfall.- Some of the UI (what about the XSX UI?)
- A revamped PS Store? (what about the XSX Store?)
- A proper AAA game running like Demons Souls( .. we saw enoff DeS and Godfall at 4K60, what about the XSX ngen games?)
- Free look up on the console and not in a controlled environment (why? who cares ... afraid of fingerprints like on the XSX?)
- How backward compatibility works (totally agree, even though we have no clue how the XSX does it and which games get an HDR patch)
- Test of speed on different games (loading times? expect them short)
- Start Screen (ok, ahve we seen the XSX one?)
- What "create" button is and how it works (true, but what does the share button do on the XSX?)
- Explanation on expanding your SSD or how to attach a new one. (totally agree)
Godfall running at 4K60 is more taxing than Demon´s Souls at 4K30 or 1440p60. They played Godawful for 80min and the console remained silent (50º+ celsius). The loading times are stupidly short, so much they had to "add fake loading screens with tips" in Godfall!!
PS4 teardown november 2013
PS4 Pro teardown november 2016
PS5 teardown __________ 2020
If we are lucky we still have one event left from the two.

Dunno man, this looks like the cancer of all screws to me: a tiny allen screw. It's not a nut, as how would you get a tool in there to turn it.
It looks like a switch/lock. Depress it, and then can slide off the panel.
Based on previous shots of the inside of the panel (that showed upward facing angled connnectors), depressing that switch, means the panel would slide off in the opposite direction (towards the bottom of the console), which can only happen if the PS5 is not in the tower position. You have to lay it on it's side.
I hope it's that easy, and tool-less.
Brilliant engineering if this is how it works.
oh snap!

Just pull white shell side off first to get to the nut/screw.It's not a nut, as how would you get a tool in there to turn it.

It's allen screw. It's on both sides. There actually at least two per side. And to have access to them you need to take off side panels obviously. You can even see hex shaped hole in it on picture from first post. It's not a nut, as how would you get a tool in there to turn it.

Really amazing that this type of thing caught the attention of people.
Maybe this would not be a "News" if they showed

But Jim Ryan has everything under control
I actually think Sony is doing this on purpose, just to have stories like this created. Like created viral marketing.

I think it's for the additional SSD, you slide down the white panel to reveal the SSD bay and that's where it's placed.
Nah you just didn't read the front page. It happens.https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/...ion-5-console-hands-on-reveals-mysterious-nut
Surprised this isn't blowing up LOL. Must be a slow news day in gaming.![]()
