Help I have a dad bod and can't gain weight eating 5000 calories a day
Gotta a ask a redundant question. How can you get cut or toned while doing Starting Strength? Do I do the following?
Monday = SS
Tuesday = cardio or crossfit
Wed = SS
Thurs = cardio or crossfit
Fri = SS
Or
Mwf = SS in the morning and cardio/crossfit night
Tth = rest(as in lay in the couch playing video games)
Sincew im 5"8 203lbs, I was thinking my calories per day are 2200?
An update. I more or less finished editing the first two posts of the OP with my suggestions. Will work on the third post later tonight or Saturday night.
I'm still a bit hesitant about removing the first program in the OP as I personally don't recommend it but a few of our regulars do. I much rather have beginners do the second program and eventually move onto Phraks GSLP Variant or Candito's LP after several months and have form down.
Keep the title suggestions coming in. Seems like bulge swelfie (sorry FE ) and dad bod will be in there.
Bulge swelfies, dad bods, something something.
If no one is making the OT, I might make it. I'll implement my suggestions if no one objects. The edits will come a bit late since I have stuff to do on Saturday and Sunday.
I don't know the nuances of submitting an OT, so feel free to inform me. Do I contact a mod or what?
Well let's see... There were 12,000+ runners so...(every finisher gets one lol). It was to support military service and they had military personnel putting medals on people at the finish. Pretty cool.That's cool. What place did you get to get a medal?
Lol many races do that. They have other awards for the top runners.Everyone gets a medal? Wut.
Anyway, cool man.
On the positive side, my black EliteFTS belt, which stopped fitting in January, is now on the third(!) hole. I was really happy about that

F*ck yes. Made it though the race with my injury and didn't walk a single step. Had to keep my pace easy at 9:30. Anything faster and it started to hurt like hell. Charging onto the field for a 50-yard sprint to the finish was so damn awesome!
Started just outside Soldier Field, ran 5 miles south on North-bound Lakeshore Drive, then there was a turn around to run 5 miles north right along the lakefront path back to the stadium. Great views of the city and lake throughout.Congrats man. Beautiful day for a race...where'd the race go before Soldier Field?

No it's true, but I love it. The odds of placing for a medal with so many runners, including top marathon runners from around the world, are extremely slim. Being able to run 5-minute miles is something I may never be able to do. Most people are competing only with themselves. So hell, I'll take a losers medal any dayTodays America
lol jk, congrats on finishing the race
It really is, but... $$$!My uncle and a few friends live there on Lakeshore. Gorgeous area.

Geeez, that's crazy. Small world. Good for him!My uncle was Oprah's lawyer before he sold his practice a couple of years ago! He did well, lol.
Fucking hell... back day yesterday, and today I ended up doing a few hours of heavy digging (whilst fasted). I feel wrecked. My back is really complaining.
Bright side, I had a KFC after 20 hours of fasting (long than my usual) and my single meal had more than 100g of protein.
Lol I would say yes. You would say no.I eat 160-170g of protein in a single sitting everyday. is 100 a lot?

There's nothing normal about you... but you know this at this point.
One of the posters here with the most progress. Keep working Sphinx! Looking great.there's only a couple of posts left for this thread.
this was my 4th OT, many people have come and gone, many are missed and everyone in their one way is an inspiration.
today I went to the gym to enjoy myself, I was in the mood to move around even though I was supposed to rest. I felt the right way and went there.
managed to get a pic I liked, hopefully at the end of OT8 I am somewhere else, on both mind and soul.
Milestone: I ripped my pants squatting today. :s
Never had that happenonly underwear.
Oh shit since we're on the final stretch might as well post more porn...

That's true. I was surprised by how many didn't finish. There were at least 12-14,000 runners. Only 10,000 finished.I don't think everyone gets one, just finishers.

When I went the home gym route this happened to me twice inside of a month. Mostly my fault as I'd stopped wearing "gym" clothes and was squatting in PJs. I've gone back to gym pants since!
You earned that privilege with all your hard work. Do it to it!Alright. I finished editing for OT8. Just need a thread title we'll all be happy with lol.
