Judging by Mobygames it strikes me that although there are a lot of good titles on her resume, her actual degree of involvement isn't particularly obvious.
Above all else though, despite what the hacks on YT would have you believe, pinning the failure of Concord on her is stupidly unfair given that she wasn't the game director, art director, or even gameplay lead. She was a principal gameplay designer which is a third or fourth-string steering position!
As per usual people are mistaking visibility on social media for actual swing in development. If you want to hold people to account do some basic research and see what their role was, rather than picking scapegoats on the basis of how readily they present themselves for condemnation.

I wouldn't pin the failure specifically on her, either. She's clearly a scapegoat. The real problem with Concord was a corporate culture that supported making people support and validate this kind narcissistic identity over creating products that people want to buy.
She needed a mentor or a leader to guide her away from the path that made her believe that she is the smartest person in every room. Her website is a testament to her commitment to the professor identity and it's clearly a way to deal with what is undoubtedly massive insecurity. It's actually quite sad.
I don't work in game development, but I do hire people and there's no way I'm hiring what is clearly a persona if I care about morale and productivity. I can deal with a certain amount of eccentricity if a person is a high performer, but there's no way I'm forcing everyone to support someone's unrestrained ego.

I don't think its unfair to say that the "Prof" has made herself a focal point for criticism despite there should have been multiple layers of creative leadership above her, ready and willing to curb her influence. My point being she most likely was just part of a much larger problem, and if you want actual change it helps to go to the root.

Yes, but only because it was boring with nothing to offer that other games didn't do well before and generally much better. It was always a mix of Destiny and Overwatch but mediocre.
The only remotely interesting part about the game in general was the reveal because it looked to be going for a really cool retro sci-fi vibe. What we got was uninspired gameplay with a cast full of uninspired and boring character designs.
Being "woke" was never the main reason, and the complete failure of the game outside of the people that were going to support it on principle due to the "woke" stuff proves that.

From what I remember skimming YT videos and articles, the gameplay was simply meh. Nothing bad, nothing great. But forgettable. I dont think one person ever said the maps or modes were anything great. Just passable. What probably turned off people right off the bat was bad gameplay.... the beta. It had zero join in progress matches. So if your team had players leave your team was shorthanded rest of the match. They fixed that in the final game telling people in a tweet or patch. Too late. Also, the game forced players to pick a different character after every victory. I've never heard of a game doing that. To me that's a terrible gameplay choice because I'm a gamer who likes to stick to my main class, and perhaps change to 1-2 more variants of the same kind of thing but with slightly different perks or weapons. I dont want to do a 180 and totally change. but Concord forced you to do that. Any gamer who likes playing tons of different loadouts would be fine with this I guess, but not everyone plays lots of different loadouts/classes. it would be like playing a fighting game or sports game. After each win, you have to change characters or pick a new team. Few people will like this mechanic.
I think the best props the game got was the animation (which I agree), and I'm pretty sure it's in agreement the game seemed polished with no big bugs or crashes etc... But thats kind of it.

In sports, considering how much flak athletes get from anyone (live, analysts, people throwing shit at them etc...), as a whole it seems most players in sports can actually handle it. Ya, some go ape shit on Twitter or you get a Ron Artest situation, but for the most part pretty under control. And most players are in their 20s or early 30s so not exactly office or factory vets.
Who controls them? Does the team management or coaches constantly tell players to zip it? Or is it vet players who do it? Or the agent? Everyone? Is it just one on one chats? Or do teams have formal training how to handle themselves like us office guys who do HR code of conduct courses?
