If I was hiring someone for a SENIOR position in my line of work and one of the job applicants had the biggest failure in my industry... they 100% would NOT get the senior role.

You don't get to be in charge of the biggest failure in gaming and then DEMAND a Senior role when you're laid off. People will point at the resume and go "well, they were involved in all of these successful games", yes, but I highly doubt at the same position level as they were in for Concord.

Unprofessional on ALL levels.

In sports, considering how much flak athletes get from anyone (live, analysts, people throwing shit at them etc...), as a whole it seems most players in sports can actually handle it. Ya, some go ape shit on Twitter or you get a Ron Artest situation, but for the most part pretty under control. And most players are in their 20s or early 30s so not exactly office or factory vets.

Who controls them? Does the team management or coaches constantly tell players to zip it? Or is it vet players who do it? Or the agent? Everyone? Is it just one on one chats? Or do teams have formal training how to handle themselves like us office guys who do HR code of conduct courses?
The true stars (in Baseball anyhow) were pretty much given free reign, they are usually untouchable

At least back when I played they mouthy ones were usually dealt with by vet players in and around the clubhouse that usually started innocent enough but ramped up ranging from gluing someones glove closed to rubbing a product we used called Cramer on people to making players miss team flights

That thing would not get hired by me. Anyone who doesn’t dress appropriate, wear appropriate style hair for the business, tattoos, etc will go straight to the waste.

You’re not coming here and making people laugh at my business. If I am laughing at the idiocracy of this person, so is everyone including their parents who should be slapped and told they’re failures in life for raising such a moron.

What the hell has happened to civilians.

This person has a pretty good resume even if you include Concord into it . Most of you guys here that are dissing this person couldn't even design a basic Flash game let alone became a Staff Designer in Bungie .

It's tiring to type "this person" though FFS , I'm not going to do those they/them bullshit .

its claimed that the people in the studio couldnt call her by her name. She demanded from everyone that they call her Prof.

Just for the record: she doesnt have any kind of qualification to be a Prof.

Tag, you're it.
No offence, buy you seem pretty worked up... If line two in particular is you being calm and rational you must be a nightmare when you are fired up :messenger_tears_of_joy:
No, that's me having a strong opinion. Nothing more. She don't like gamers? She don't like virtual guns? Then don't work in gaming or on an FPS. Seriously.

For the record, I'm not being a 'white knight', she seems like 'not my kind of person' but there are lots of those around and I don't feel the need to find joy in hoping they are miserable and suffering. No one needs to insert themselves - it's between her and any prospective employers. People keep saying she 'hates gamers' but I can't find any evidence of that? Nor do I care. 'Gamers' aren't a thing to love or hate, that's stupid, everyone is their own person. Do I hate some people who are gamers? Absofuckinglutely (mentioning no names) :messenger_tears_of_joy:

So many people pretend to hate 'cancel culture' then froth at the mouth when they get a chance to do it to someone who isn't the same as them. That would make them hypocrites, no? Or perhaps 'snowflakes'?
I don't wish her arm in any way, I just hope she don't crash another game. The gaming industry don't need lazy dev that are more interested in pushing their agenda than making a good game. And I don't care about that whole woke part, I'm judging the game and what she has produced. Concord was bad. The gameplay was bad, the art direction was bad and the only redeeming element was the soundtrack. I'm tired of seeing people encouraging bad work(er). There is plenty of talented person that are waiting for a chance.

Many civilians have caved or have been indoctrinated to the woke mind virus. Her picture is the perfect example of what happens once they have been turned.

I don’t work in a creative field but I can’t imagine behaving this unprofessionally when looking for a job.
The linkedin experience isn't created equally, it's a reflection of the industry you work in or seek to be active in, since you only connect with people in that industry, so what is considered "unprofessional" or not widely differs between fields.
This is how people in the entertainment industry speak, my linkedin is set up for creative fields and I see posts like these plenty, people tend to be very informal.

A little resume padding might be in order. Maybe before trying to go back to senior roles, look for jobs or courses that would show serious effort to learn the importance of designing games that cater to actual and non-theoretical audiences.

From what I understand, if you have a shipped "AAA" game on your resume, you should normally be fine moving forward. But if your game was Concord? And your goofy behavior came to light early? I'd be skeptical.

The dumb thing is even real professors teaching in university dont ask other people to call them that. At worst, a student calls their teacher Mr or Mrs. But when it's all grown adults (like MBA school), you call each other by first name.

A person's title like Mr, Mrs or Dr are used in a formal way in a teacher/student or friend's parent/youre a kid situation. And nobody uses Prof as one of them to begin with. When it comes to meeting recruiters or hiring managers for a job, you call each other by your first name like adults.

No recruiter says: "Hi, is this Prof Brown? This is Mrs. Smith. Company X is hiring and the boss is Mr. Anderson"

I can only go back to when I actually "worked" but you know what happened to mouthy people in MLB clubhouses in the 1990s (unless you were the megastar) you got shut up real quick

You know what happened to mouthy people that didn't have talent?

They started selling insurance or cars or anything besides playing in the big leagues

Sorry if I have no room on my SSD for mouthy devs games that suck and don't care if they keep getting chances to ruin other games.

From the MLB to selling cars (not that there's anything wrong with that) made me think of this fucker.
