In all seriousness, if Sahin is up for sale, I would give my left nut for Rodgers to text his good mate Mou with a £15 million bid. Would have him over Allen, although I think getting Sahin to move from Madrid to Liverpool would be a tough sell.

Buy Allen, loan Sahin for a season while we try and get back into the Champions league, with a view to making it permanent if it works out. Strength in depth.

I'm sure Xabi Alonso could have a word.

I love Alonso, but I can see him finishing his career in Madrid. Deserves it too, wonderful player.

Allen, Sahin, Lucas, Aquillani, Henderson and Gerrard as options for a 3 man midfield would just be ridiculous.

Would be astonishingly good. Sahin's a pipe dream for a club without Champions League football though, I feel. Think Arsenal and United would be in pole position. Saying that, I can't underestimate the power of Mourinho and Alonso putting in the good vibes, I'm sure they'd give both Rodgers and the club/city the most glowing of recommendations should Liverpool make an approach. Doubt we will though, looks like Rodgers has his heart set on Allen, and I'd be happy with that signing anyway.

Borini's a right little joker, watching that interview with him on NESN from before the Roma game.

Sounds like Biton played pretty well today. His wiki says he's 6'5" -- that's gotta be a pretty imposing size for a DM. Sounds like he's worth a punt.. couldn't cost much. 500k-1m at most?

Looks like he also had a short, week-long trial back in January.

I've decided I like Joe Cole after watching his video diaries and I hope he gets cup games and sub appearances this year. Needs to be fitter, no question, but if he can just slide in a few good through balls for us in the Europa league fixtures, I'd be thrilled.

He's a top lad, but I'd still be in favour of flogging him, especially if it's a case of getting the wage bill down and it's a toss up between either his, or Aquilani's head.

I can't fault how he's gone about his work, or his attitude since he's been at the club, nor his ability to socialise and incubate the younger lads into first team life. I can criticise his performances on the pitch, when it all actually matters, and I can do that pretty consistently.

£20m in June 2007.

He started off so well too. Put in some brilliant performances against Gerrard and Fabregas.

Then he got injured and fat.

SAF is as bad at buying CM's as he is great at buying wingers.

Kanchelskis, Valencia, Ronaldo, Valencia, even Blomqvist was a half decent player.

But CM is a massive problem imo.

I'd be pretty disappoint. I can easily see Fergie passing on Sahin because of the injuries and lack of game time. (I'd understand the decision if he's only available on loan, though.)

Spurs or Arsenal could be in with a real bargain here. :(

Mourinho should tell Sahin to go to United and await his arrival there. Ronaldo will confirm it's a good idea, that Wayne's it's my friiend and in the future...Gods knows

Turner's only signed a 2 year deal at Norwich after O'Neill said he wouldn't have been given a new contract even if he stayed. Wonder if he has problems...

Fuck it, I'll join in the Sahin circle jerk too. We should get in the mix and just outright cut Malouda and Meireles. We've done business numerous times with Real over the years. :p
