I think the PS3 browser may be better than this from what I remember...did the PS3 browser have HTML support?

I honestly can't remember. I heard it was updated(?) recently enough so it may have gotten better but I just remember it being incredibly clunky & slow.

To be fair, I had to use the browser for a month while my new PC was being built and it served me very well. Not the best browser but it let me browse GAF and Youtube. <3
