It will be interesting to see how Barca rotate Sanchez/Villa/Pedro as we all know that Messi won't be dropped. I think Barca play better with a recognised striker on the pitch. Villa may not have scored as many goals as he would have liked in his first season at Barca but his link up play was top notch and he always pulled defenders towards him because he's such a threat. This freed up a bit of extra space for Messi.

No, I see Sandro, Defoe, Podolski and Diaby as more experienced, that's the trouble. Henderson and Borini would be your first-choice subs, whereas they'd be well down the pecking order for us. Where you have prospects, we have proven players.
Pedro plays awesomely because of this.
There's no way we'll get £20 million up front for Carroll, the teams chasing him don't have anywhere near that kind of cash to spend on a single player. It frightens me that we could see him head the team though next season, as much as he's a promising player, I've rarely seen him look truly comfortable when finishing a ball. His ability to convert last season was dreadful.
I agree with most of that, although I feel you're trolling with Diaby. That lad's done for, unfortunately. I see Sandro as too good to leave out though, and I could easily see him replacing Parker in the first 11. Your point stand though, regardless.

Wish the club would just make a statement regarding him. He seems happy and enjoying life in the squad, Enrique was tweeting taking the piss out of his shoes today (in a jokey way), and he's regularly going out for meals and playing Fifa with the likes of Pacheco and Suso. Not to mention Rodgers having many chats with him, Borini arriving, and his willingness to stay and prove himself as a Liverpool player.
Should he go I'd be mentally battered after yet another summer of promising signs.
And honestly from what I've seen of Aquilani when he's playing his best football he's as good as the likes of Diaby and Sandro (Spurs fans won't like that).

Yet to see him play but I prefer his attributes to Carroll's. Between Gerrard and Aquilani's physical fragility them two can just alternate each week.
selling Meireles and loaning out Aquilani were not the most shrewd of transfer decisions last summer. I know most people here don't rate Meireles, but surely he's better than Liverpool's other central midfield options?

Probably. The problem is, of the few times he's pulled on the Liverpool shirt he's been magnificent, so it's hard to get a proper bead on his ability. I love the assumption that we shouldn't keep him because he couldn't start for AC though, as if we're somehow a team of comparable strength to them.
I have faith in Skyfall. Obviously Bond directors don't have a whole lot of power, but I am a big big Sam Mendes fan. see, the secret about Marc Forster is that he's simply a shit director. even if it's just some 2nd tier director who's handling the action, at least Mendes is a guy who's big on visuals and hopefully won't have another 100-quick-takes-a-second-like-it's-the-Bourne-movies style shooting/editing of the action scenes.

right!! almost forgot about him... it's simply astounding that Deakins has never won the oscar for best cinematography. He's worked on so many stunning visual films over the years; hope Skyfall lives up to that high standard.

When Bond and the girl survived that jump out of the plane, having activated their parachute about 100ft from the ground, I literally guffawed in the cinema and contemplated leaving. By that point I was bored stiff anyway, stretching my legs and going for a piss seemed like a more pleasant option.

Well it's true. Slightly remember watching some James Bond at a kids birthday party from school, but ended up going outside playing with some of the others. Lord of the rings... Boring fantasy shit.
