does anyone else like buying shirts with no names/numbers on the back? just plain?
or am i alone on this?
I buy just plain.
Can't risk putting a footballers name and they leave the next season.

Just because they don't include the option to buy doesn't mean we can't try and buy him. If we offer enough and/or they decide he's not needed they may be tempted to sell. Also the loan without option to buy makes perfect sense. If we end up getting top 4 and Sahin has made a significant contribution to that then the move has done its job. That doesn't work if RM doesn't include a buy option. That's the problem.
Just saw the news of Arsenal and MU agreeing to a deal for RVP. I'm happy, but damn am I worried as fuck for Kagawa's exact position this season.
At least with RVP gone we can be sure that Podolski is going to play in the middle of the field with Giroud and Cazorla so we should get the best out of Podolski. With Podolski, Giroud and Cazorla I feel we still have a better offence for next season despite the loss of RVP. Its the lack of defensive reinforcements that baffles me.
This Song situation has me fuming. What a freakin ingrate. Sell the asshole, let him rot on Barcelona's bench, bring in M'Vila and we will be a better side for it.
Nocerino: Milan is Milan and remains a great club regardless of who plays. Besides, dont forget last year they paid 3 and a fizzy drink for me, but I scored 11 goals!
HAHAHAHAHHA :|
It may not be the most popular opinion amongst Juve fans, but I think we need someone like JoJo a lot more than we need a clinical finisher. A 'Matri 2.0' like Llorente (that's how I see him at least, I may be wrong) would obviously be a very welcome upgrade, but with someone like JoJo, who can score, link up with our midfielders and pull pure magic out of the hat ... I forsee amazingness. What's more, he would have a great partner in Vucinic. God, what I would give. Won't happen. 30M€ is way too much for us right now and Conte probably sees it somewhat differently. Fuck calciomercato, why do I care so much? :/
But maybe Llorene was a bad example because I can't think of anyone who can out-muscle him or beat him in the air?
Zapata and Mexes can do it no problem, if they combine their forces with Muntari's goal.
Speaking of Llorente, Marca are suggesting Arsenal will try to snatch him using RVP's money, they'd supposedly offer 25M. Fine, whatever, let's just get it over with. I'm ready for Pazzini.
... that we know of.
We're still having trouble getting rid of one of our highest earners, Joe Cole. I don't think we'll be able to get rid this summer transfer window.
How is Joe Cole doing in the pre-season?

I'm also baffled how many bookies are favouring Newcastle to beat Spurs this weekend. I just don't see it. Sure, no good strikers and no Modric/King will be detrimental, but they still have Van Der Vaart, Bale, Sigurdsson, Lennon, etc. to do some serious damage. They will destroy us in midfield if Tiote and Cabaye aren't playing.
"I'm returning feeling renewed," said Tevez. "I'm really up for having a great season. I'm better now and only thinking about playing football.
"I feel useful and valued and that is fundamental for me. It's been a long time since I've scored a goal like that (against Chelsea), like the ones I used to score when I was at Boca, and this speaks of the confidence I have."
Arsenal fans:
apologies if old
BBC Sport's David Ornstein has been tweeting some more details about the van Persie transfer: "RvP move not motivated by money. On a far better deal at Arsenal than people knew & could have earned more elsewhere than he'll get at Man Utd. Arsenal not currently in market for RvP replacement, they feel attacking business is done. Possible move for right-back/defensive cover." You can follow David on Twitter.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger tells French TV station TF1 he was left with "no choice" but to sell van Persie to Manchester United: "He is at Manchester United, unfortunately for us. The transfer was finalised in the afternoon. It's never great to lose players of that quality but he only had a year contract."

All well and good so far, but this is by no means the whole story at Arsenal, as their profits have been very reliant on property development and player sales. In these interims, there was little impact from property development, but without the £63 million profit on player sales, the football club would actually have made a sizeable loss of £14 million, including an operating loss of £7 million.
In the annual results for 2011, property played a larger role, providing the vast majority (£13 million) of the total £15 million profit with only £2 million coming from the football business. Furthermore, if the £6.3 million made from player sales is excluded, the club made a £4 million loss in the football segment. Even the enormous £56 million 2010 profit would only have been £7 million without £11 million property gains and £38 million player sales.
This is concerning, as property gains will come to an end at some stage, while Arsenal would not wish to be seen as a selling club, even though this has been a major reason for their recent profits, e.g. £94 million (or over 60%) of the £153 million made in the last four years. Thats good business, but it makes it hard to build a winning team.

Song shares the same agent as Sagna, by the way
While Defoe isn't an ideal option, Bale and Rafa/Gylfi will offer plenty of goal threat as well.
Out of interest, who has been on set pieces in pre-season? That's an embarrassment of riches in that department.
Even though the Dutch lost vs Belgium last night, I'm quite happy with the way Van Gaal wants the team to play, and the execution was pretty good as well.
Finally a lefty on the left wing and a ''righty'' on the right wing, going for the crosspass mainly. And the team tried to pressure early, which resulted in loss of the ball from Belgium quite a few times.
Also loved the way Viergever and De Vrij played like typical Dutch central defenders, going into midfield whenever there was an opportunity.
Shame that we have overrated defenders like Mathijsen, or overrated midfielders like Nigel de Jong though.

I'm on my way to discuss with Sunderland
Hmmm, can we get an ITK agent to confirm. Not sure of this guys credibility.
According to the Metro (lol), Liverpool will target Caulker or Dawson if Agger goes.
Robin Van Persie has failed a medical at Manchester United. He has a severely damaged back after carrying a full squad last season.
I think VDV's more of a free kick specialist than Gylfi.
If Sigurdsson doesn't take your free kicks I will laugh.
