Well I know they haven't offered contract extensions or anything, but I don't know that they were actively trying to get him out.
I of course assumed he is unhappy about playing for the U21s, but perhaps he's fine with it. I'd of thought a player like him would rather play and take a wage cut than sit in the reserves though.
