Difference between Ronaldo and Messi for me is that in games like this, where there is pressure and the opponent is defending deep, Ronaldo is effectively neutered by the lack of space to run into whereas Messi shines best with hardly any space.

So what happened against Chelsea?
I'm trollin, but I don't really agree. Ronaldo plays most games against teams which set out to defend against Real and he scores countless goals.
Messi is a better player but I don't really think its because Ronaldo can't score when teams defend deep...he's scored a lot of goals in that situation already.
They seem to me to of just bought big name players rather than thinking about where and how they are all going to fit into the system of choice.

Yeah, Diego doesn't have the best of attitudes off the pitch, but he seemed to have a good year at Atletico. I'd still take a chance with him, absolutely rate him high.

I don't disagree, but I can't see him being a lot of use in a Roy Hodgson rigid 4-4-2. Not his style of play at all.
