It all depends on what Arsenal/United team shows up. It could be a bloodbath.
United are going to play the same way they have done for the last 4/5 years against Arsenal.

It'll be a 4-4-2 or possibly a 4-3-3 which sits when Arsenal have the ball and keeps shape. As soon we win the ball, pace and width. If Rooney, RVP and Valencia are on form - it will probably be enough,

I suspect Valencia's going to have a fucking field day.

God help us. We better win this because I'm most likely going to miss our next game. (brief trip :p)

You're going to miss Merde? Damn. :/

So much for Asamoah on the inside for once, sigh. Also, Padoin?! Wtf. We'll never see Pepe and 4-3-3 again, won't we?

Who the hell is Yesil?

18 year old striker signed from Leverkusen. Great record at youth level for Leverkusen and Germany. Bayer fans were pissed when he left. Signed for £1m, saw on a few Bayer forums that they would've wanted £10m for him.

Our overhyped young German striker

Ah I see, well hopefully he lives up to the hype, with a Sterling - Yesil - Suso front line, you could be sorted for years to come.

So bummed out I'll be in work during the United-Arsenal game. Even worse, I'll be in hearing-range of the yappy twats who give an inarticulate running commentary of everything that happens every Saturday - the worst way to learn the scores.

From Daniel Taylor's guardian piece,

The chapter in Poll's autobiography detailing that case is called "Chelsea on the attack" and relates how Ashley Cole publicly accused him of remarking that the club "needed to be taught a lesson" after he had sent off John Terry and disallowed a Didier Drogba goal in a game against Tottenham Hotspur. Terry then alleged Poll had changed his story about the sending off because "that's probably the best option for him as it covers every angle". The FA investigated the claims, decided they were false and charged Terry instead. He was fined £10,000 after admitting improper conduct, with the FA concluding it was "disappointed no public apology had been forthcoming".

Jesus fucking christ. Enduringly staggering what a miserably slimy cunt he is. Both of them, really.

Good stuff.

Think we'll see Powell or Henriquez?

I'm not very hopeful tbh.
Yeah I doubt it. It's a bit of a shame that we've had a tougher draw and so those guys haven't had a chance, usually you get some easier ties early on in the League Cup. But then again we have a pretty big squad now and everybody needs minutes and we are out to win it after all.

I'm expecting something like...

Lindegaard
Smalling Evans Wooton Buttner
Nani Anderson Fletcher Giggs
Welbeck Hernandez

Think a couple of the defenders at least will get a rest. Rafael definitely needs one he's been playing every game more or less. Hopefully Powell and Henriquez are on the bench.

Yeah! And possibly our CL game too. :/

It's Bologna, is 3-5-2 even necessary? They play with a back four.

I'll use Asa in whichever role tires him less, we NEED him for merda. The Ashton Kutcher horror show shall not be repeated.

That seems like a pretty decent team.

I'm slightly annoyed about the Henriquez situation tbh. He was getting regular first team football in Chile but now he's stuck in our reserves.

Liverpool FC apologise to spoof blogger Duncan Jenkins over 'inappropriate behaviour' of communications director Jen Chang
THE managing director of Liverpool Football Club has apologised to a sports blogger for the “inappropriate behaviour” of the club’s communications director.

Ian Ayre wrote to Sean Cummins, the Liverpool fan behind spoof journalist “Duncan Jenkins”, after communications director Jen Chang allegedly threatened Cummins – who claimed through his blog and on Twitter that he had insider information about transfers at Anfield.

During a meeting between the pair in Manchester in August, Cummins claimed that Chang demanded to know who his alleged ‘mole’ was.

Cummins insists that all his information was lifted from fans’ forums.

In the letter, Mr Ayre apologised “on behalf of Liverpool FC, for any upset and distress” caused.

He added: “The club is managing this internally."

Now since Liverpoop, Spurs and United fans all wanted us to lose today and found everything quite funny it would be good if Chelsea, Norwich and Swansea all enjoy nice victories tomorrow.

Well, we'll obviously draw in CL, so you won't be missing much. We're basically last year's Dortmund in CL. Two things we need to do next season, if we want to make it to the, say, quarter-finals: 1) BUY THAT FUCKING STRIKER and 2) learn how to put Serie A in second place, at the cost of losing the scudetto to Napoli, Milan, Roma, whoever. Which is traditionally something we just don't know how to do. We always succumb to the pressure of the whole 'if Juve doesn't win the scudetto, the season is a failure' rhetoric.

I hope B-Rod plays 343 again sometime soon. Would be good aginst the high pressing teams.

Can't wait to see Borini wasted on the wing again!

Holy fuck out of all the Arsenal games I had to miss, it was that one. Looking forward to Saturday, should be some goals.

Looking forward to watching highlights from tonight. Why can Villa win in the cup?! And Sunderland...

Skyfall was fucking brilliant by the way. Preferred it to Casino Royale, didn't have a third act drop off. And Bardem OH MAN.
