Football Thread 2014/15 |OT4| Did you see that Ludogorets display last night?

You really don't understand how transfers work if you think it matters that Wenger is refereeing that match.

Theres not a single manager in the fucking world who goes about pulling shit like this on TDD. Maybe if he hadn't of left it late like every other season fans wouldn't be worried.

Arsenal bought Falcao AND Cavani Rhak. I know, I couldn't believe it either.

stop trolling me inky!

reading a bit more here, William Carvalho last minute bids by Arsenal and Manchester

Enzo Perez is staying at Benfica (please please PLEASE god let that be true)

Falcao in United (by loan?)

Jackson staying at Porto (nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo)

more Cristante for Benfica stuff

I said this earlier Shanks my man but nobody listened

At a massive club like Arsenal there is no way Wenger is the one making the calls and doing the deals.

Would be great if that was the case though, old grandad Wenger suddenly jumping in a Range Rover and scooting up to Gatwick to collect Welbeck off his plane from Manchester

Yeah, Dick Law handles all that for us. I am pretty sure that any deal that gets made today has been going on for at least a week. 90% of deadline day deals are just clubs who have been playing chicken with each other.

Inzaghi and Simeone are playing in the game haha.

Everything regarding our signings are pretty much done. The club knows who to sign and who to let go. We are not simply gonna rock up to PSG and say give us Cavani. If we haven't negotiated it already then it ain't gonna happen.

Give it 30 years and we'll photograph players in front of something like that.

Apparently Arsenal will sign a big name tonight. Hmmmm

there aren't any big names left to sign mate. and still shaking my head at the argument Ars fans make by pointing out Ramsey. just because we got lucky with Ramsey doesn't mean we should play a center forward like Sanogo in our first 11 when clearly he isn't EPL standard.

These fans should get a grip.

How hard would it be to get a CB, CDM and a striker though? He's had a while. Even though Giroud was recently injured he's had long enough to get someone. You see people like Mourinho, when he wants someone he goes and gets them. Wenger/Arsenal pisses about

Wasnt Ancelotti in charge of Chelsea when Chich started that amazing scoring streak against them? Makes since why he signed him.

Sanogo wouldn't even last up here in scottish football.

Woodward knew in order to maintain our title as club with the most plastics we needed to get some big name players in, too many twitter accounts burning United jerseys last year for City, cant afford to lose that business.

Di Maria and Falcao are good signings if your squad needs a bit of refinement but they won't dig Utd out of the ditch alone.

Need to build from the back and currently Utd have the shakiest defence in the league (+ Everton if you consider goals conceded)

People have said that Van Persie and Rooney should have converted the chances that Di Maria put on plates for them at the weekend, well, that was against Burnley. One player creating isn't good enough and those chances would be more likely to be stuffed out by teams with strong defensive and midfield units.

Utd's defence really looks like schoolboys against all of the opposition this season. Won't run to bring it out, constantly passing it between them, and hoofing it when things get a bit heated.

Di Maria, Rooney, Van Persie, Falcao, Mata, Valencia, Young etc are not good defensive players and would all lose the ball against an organised defence. That then puts you on the wrong end of a counter attack with a lazy set of forwards who won't track back or constantly having teams build up solidly against you.

Vidic and Rio really are missed. It is insane just how much Utd depended on them in retrospect.

IMO, you won't be making any big name signings in other positions; Just stop-gaps probably.

There seems to be a popular narrative amongst alot of people and no matter what it wont go away.

We have singed, ADM, Blind, Herrera, thats 3 really good midfielders

Who are these centre-backs, defensive mids, and strikers? All the top teams are after the same players. Arsenal had agreed a deal to sign Manolas, but Roma offered him a place in the first team (likely the same is happening with Rabiot). Utd and Arsenal have been linked with Carvalho all summer, but, quite rightly, no-one wants to play €30-€35m for a guy who has only played two-seasons of first-team football.

Of course Chelsea sort out deals quicker because they have a higher ceiling when it comes to wages. It's nothing to do with Mourinho. These "ITKs" saying Wenger is stalling are the same morons saying "Arsenal will go big when they know they've qualified for the CL." It's incessant, clickbait bollocks.
