Yeah it's been pretty poor from that stand point. Mainly remasters.
Sunset Overdrive looks good, but it's only on Xbox One.

As for a legit survival/horror game, i'm looking forward to playing Evil Within. I know it'll be great. Mikami never disappoints.
Gears 1 was and probably will be always my favorite MP game. The shotgun duels were something incredible, a shame they ruined it in Gears 2. I even had a group of people who played almost every day against other groups/clans, it was great because each one had a role in the team (the sniper, two of us with the shotgun upfront, and other guy with the machine gun)
Never got to try Gears 3 MP, was it as good as the first one?

Gears 1 had the benefit of being out before the 360 got parties and for whatever reason loads of people still used mics. That was a lot of fun. I think most of the people on my friends list are people I met playing Gears.

I truly hope the full game will be exciting, but I also have my fears with Kojima involved.
Yeah, Del Toro has good ambition, Kojima I'm not so sure.

I loved Gears of War 1 as well. Like I said before, I'm not a MP kind of guy (I did enjoy it while I had a gold account, but that was just 1 year).
One thing that 1 had above the others is the atmosphere. I fell in love with their "destroyed beauty" concepts and a bit more of a focus on horror elements, which I feel the series lost on every sequel. I'd love a new Gears that is basically more horror than shooter, but that is not going to happen.
I don't know what is it about me, but I am the kind of person who enjoys the freshness of the new IPs, and even if sequels improve on what came before, even if you can say they are legit better games, I just will end up preferring the first one. Mass Effect series is the same case for me. ME 1 is my second GOTG, even though you could argue ME2 is an improvement over it.

Agree on Megaman. Hate what they did with the franchise. Very few games have come close to bettering those 2D Megaman games.

I loved Halo 1-3 because of the mp. GOAT console shooters. I just love arena shooters so CoD doesn't do it for me. Shadowrun was another great console shooter.

Not sure but he can be signed for leagues (well at least ours) but not for uefa stuff (in our case champions league), the deadline for that was today. But that's fine (well, not fine but you know what I mean), plenty of league and cup games... hell the league has more games this year (we went from 16 teams to 18 this year) and there's only been 3 games so far. It's not too late you pricks!
