Football Thread 2014/15 |OT9| - How the Snitch stole all the banter

I don't even think Rodgers is that good of a manager but sacking managers for a sideways replacement is a stupid, knee-jerk reaction that might get you two or three extra points in the immediate future, but just creates even more uncertainty and squad turnover. the last thing Liverpool (or any club that sells their top player, see: Spurs) needs is making that period of transition even longer. getting rid of him just to send a message that "failure will not be tolerated" (or whatever) is fucking stupid; take away his transfer authority or something instead.

having said that, lol liverpool

Ludo wanted this more. The lack of pace and urgency from Liverpool is dead. What's Brendan doing to the team?

Never commit more than 3 in attack, no attempt to control the match and pin them back. Exactly the same as the Everton performance which bit us in the arse. Rodgers is fucking sprinting along the plank, let alone walking it.
Taking off Sterling when Gerrard looked as if he was about to collapse on the pitch from being out of breath

The favouritism he has for Gerrard is amazing, why not play Coutinho?

Wenger why even put Campbell in if he's going to play for 3 minutes.

FSG should just throw money at Klopp. He and de Boer where their first choices last time.

Klopp is not going to leave Dortmund and he surely wouldn't leave it for Liverpool given the state that club is in right now. He would not accept working under some joke of a transfer committee.

Liverpool might be able to bring Benitez back, make instant institutional changes as in do away with any needless oversight over how the manager conducts itself in the market and then fire most of the advisers who have completely let the club down.

Not that shocking, any win against Basel would do it. Well, shocking in terms of where we should be with our performances, that is to say bottom of the table with 0 points. Mediocre team, low on confidence, being managed dismally.

Where's Coutinho? Where's Lallana?? Why persists with Gerrard? You'll be fine unless Basle turn up and R. Madrid throw their game.

1st of this month Rodgers was around 50/1 next manager to leave.

Now as short as 4/1

😳

The state of the club isn't that bad.

Young squad, backing from owners, good fanbase and 50/50 chance to progress to the knockouts in the CL.

Liverpool are only 5 points off the top four. Not that far away and we are only 1/3 into the season.

In fairness to Brenda

Phasing out a club legend is tough thing to do.

Which is why i was glad Liverpool made that decision for us by buying Lambert.

Lambert : "we've answered some of the critics about Sunday night - we wanted the win and we almost got it"

Lol. Congrats on almost getting the win.

Arsenal are in the knockout round for the 15th consecutive season.

That is 15 seasons in a row we have not won it for those keeping track.
