Got an email notification from the Square Enix store that they'll be charging me for the Ultimate Collector's Edition for FFXV on Monday.

I'm constantly wrestling with myself on whether to keep the order or not. I want the game, no question, but shelling out almost $300 for a collector's edition seems really fool-hardy. On the other hand, I'm so hyped for the game and the notion of owning the "super limited edition version with the cool Noctis figure" that I'm still hesitating to cancel it.

So I just wanted some opinions on what version people are planning to get, and why.

As value goes, Best Buy seems to be in the running, with a bundle that includes the Day One edition as well as the Season Pass. However, I at least want the Deluxe Edition for the DLC items...if there was a bundle that included the DD and the season pass, that would be the one I would get for sure. I'm also highly disappointed that the Ultimate CE doesn't appear to include the season pass either, making it seem like an even more foolhardy investment.

But that Noctis figure....

Anyway, share your thoughts (and maybe deals, as they appear).

I bought it digitally months and months ago. And the season pass. And a PS4 Pro. I could pretend I'm buying it to future proof, but it's almost 100% so I can play the best version of FFXV at launch.

If the fancy CE had just been an artbook and/or full OST, I'd have been all over it. But I don't need the rest of that stuff.

I originally planned to get the deluxe but I saw you only got the movie with it. As opposed to the limited edition blu ray that also had the anime. Which combined with the regular day one is cheaper than the deluxe. At least when I bought it.

Standard one. I had the Deluxe Edition including Kingsglaive preordered but when they delayed the game I wanted to still watch Kingsglaive as soon as possible and once I saw KG I decided I don't really need it on blu-ray.
Would have been still pretty cool to get the Deluxe Edition on release, first watching the movie and then starting the game. Oh, well. :/
