@Extra tier in 3 months, may give it a go, SE tries to do all the right things but they somehow fail, hopefully FF16 is a 10/10.
Anime, 4 DLC's, 2 cancelled DLCs, an awful CGI movie with Hollywood VA's. A competent studio would have consolidated all of that into one well planned project and asked for a bit of time to release the game in a better and more satisfying state. However, Luminous isn't competent and doesn't care for their craft as XV and now Forspoken shows. But wait I thought Tabata and the dev team were miracle workers for releasing a game that they were forced to release in the state it was in hence the laughable amount of patches post release?
2 years exclusivity for this crap?
Forspoken will be released on PC and will be a limited-time console exclusive for the PlayStation 5. While the duration of the exclusivity was previously unknown, it has now been revealed that the game will be a PS5 exclusive until January 23, 2025. Don't expect a Forspoken PS4 release date to be announced. Two years? Seriously?

Dude.
That comparison with ac: unity is jaw dropping.
What went wrong with this game graphic vise? Ff15 was looker at the yine of release on the same engine.
how in the ever loving fuck is this game fresh? it's literally like every other fucking game out there, and it's shit. you are a dumb dumb. may god have mercy on your soul.Don’t be so petty. There is clearly a hate agenda for this game for some time now. It never had a fair chance.
Maybe you don’t miss more one off games but I do. We had plenty of these in the past and that’s why we only get sequels and remakes now.
I don’t mind playing not perfect game. I am keeping my pre order. I made my decision after playing through the demo and ignoring hate surrounding the game.
I never said it will be a 10/10.
But it’s clearly not a 5/10. Probably even saints row isn’t.
I view this as something fresh.
For me there really is a big gap between AA and AAA releases. This is not 360 gen anymore. Games are either a service or multiplayer and I don’t play these mostly.
And everything is a sequel so I will give the game a chance myself.
I can always sell it, not problem. Just like Callisto which turned out to be my worst game of 2022
Pretty much.Anime, 4 DLC's, 2 cancelled DLCs, an awful CGI movie with Hollywood VA's. However, Luminous isn't competent and doesn't care for their craft as XV and now Forspoken shows.
PC version it is then.
Just hope ive got the grunt to actually push the visuals high enough to get past the dithering in the hair.
It's by Bear McCreary, the creator of the best OST ever in the history of Sony.Gods, that music is annoying...
Oh this should be interesting
I don't think any decent reviewer worth their salt would dock a game's review score because that individual is mad at a publisher, if that's what you mean. That's beyond petty, and completely unprofessional.Should we expect the score to drop after the folks who were denied review codes finally release their reviews?
Oh they definitely would. Check out the ongoing pettiness between Kotaku and Bethesda for the last decade.I don't think any decent reviewer worth their salt would dock a game's review score because that individual is mad at a publisher, if that's what you mean. That's beyond petty, and completely unprofessional.
Yeah, the studio lacks a beating hearts as both projects showed. XV was much more competent despite my dislike for that game, but that's not a surprise considering its a mainline FF and Square will give that more resources than a new IP. But after two projects that have failed to impress a lot of people, with this being considered quite awful, I'd say rather than try and salvage the studio they might as well scrap it and redistribute the resources. No one will be excited for another project by Luminous after this, even if they did turn a corner with better creatives and game designers.Pretty much.
I actually think FFXV has a very good story, some good gameplay ideas, some good sidequests, that's all broken down by horrible storytelling and execution. And that's completely outside of Versus, I'm strictly talking about XV when it was at Luminous, not what Versus *may* have been.
Its a studio that clearly needs more direction, instead Square gave it a project that needed extensive cross-continent communication with a translator, outsourcing important parts like creative direction/writing. That's not easy to organize, like at all.
Baffles the mind really.
I was more wondering if they gave review codes to reviewers from whom they expected better scores.I don't think any decent reviewer worth their salt would dock a game's review score because that individual is mad at a publisher, if that's what you mean. That's beyond petty, and completely unprofessional.
This is so good man, kudos"Well here I am, gettin' fucking reviewed. I can't believe it, there's a fucking score about to drop, ain't that some shit? One minute I'm in court and the next minute I'm being fucking judged by someone I wouldn't exactly call a judge. Get a load of me, all judged and shit. Like, wowowowowowowow. I guess the whole fucking universe hates me, but you can't blame me for just being me, a fucking regular person that crazy stuff just happens to."
All the decent people left Kotaku years ago at this point, after the new corporate buyers took over. That place is nothing anymore. But Bethesda was in the wrong for that one. Being upset that a journo leaked the setting of your game and then black-listing them that's just lame. I feel like Bethesda comes out of that looking like the asshole, not Schreier or Totilo.Oh they definitely would. Check out the ongoing pettiness between Kotaku and Bethesda for the last decade.
Oh, that's 100% what they did. For sure. If you gave the game a mediocre preview in your hands-on coverage, you likely were put on the list of outlets to skip. Lame practice indeed, and not like it's helped them at all. The game clearly doesn't need any help getting mediocre scores.I was more wondering if they gave review codes to reviewers from whom they expected better scores.
Probably the most impressive thing about the game to be honest.Wow its look worse than FF15 .
Very pretty, it is quite baffling how bad she looks in the game.i give her a 100
Forspoken Review Codes Not Sent Out to Multiple Outlets by Square Enix
Forspoken review codes haven't been given to many outlets ahead of its release date, causing concerns over the PS5 and PC game's reviews.www.gamerevolution.com
Seems like this isn't normal practice. Calm down.
I don't think any decent reviewer worth their salt would dock a game's review score because that individual is mad at a publisher, if that's what you mean. That's beyond petty, and completely unprofessional.
Yeah, that's 100% what it was. And like I replied to someone else, the whole plan backfired. This game clearly doesn't need any help getting mediocre scores from outlets. And here's what I said after someone already "clarified" what you said: "It's still a silly "conspiracy theory": that SE has such a deep relationship with games media to be able to know what kind of review score they want to massage at launch and this isn't just them being petty for previous slights."
The conspiracy, as mentioned above in the quote, is that this was a concentrated effort by SE to "massage" the review score. Because of course it was.
Ohh yeah for sure, Ill be waiting a day are so before actually making the purchase.Better wait for reviews. There is the chance that it's even worse. Too many games on PC have been plagued with stuttering from shader compilation and asset streaming.
For them not to give out codes for the PC version, to reviewers, might mean it has even more issues.
Remember when CDPR didn't send out codes for the consale versions?
She's half black. Not sure what you mean "she isn't even black".Sucks that the game isn't going so well. Was hoping it'd get in the 70s, but the demo didn't show much promise beyond an interesting combat and movement system.
Man Kotaku posting a racist laced review. What trash. She isn't even black (mixed).
Not the same engine, not the same team. This actually makes me worry about FF XVI.
