I would like to mention that Forza doesn't punish flat-shifting, so in most cars you can actually stay on the gas while upshifting and you'll be faster as a result.

IIRC, default layout, swap handbrake and clutch from the list of options lower down in that menu (handbrake defaults to A, clutch to LB, which is just awkward as fuck).

You still get to race, upgrade, tune and paint. What's the problem?
The driving doesn't feel anywhere near as realistic as Forza 5 and you're forced to play a bunch of not straight up racing gametypes in multiplayer. I'm not a car freak I just really fell in love with the competitive sim racing in Forza 5, it came with my XB1 purchase I never would have got that game if it didn't.
I guarantee a bunch of people who copped this game and have no prior experience with the Motorsport series are going to feel the same disappointment in the exact opposite ways when Forza 6 comes out, whenever that is.

There is a demo for this game in the marketplace, but I'm guessing this was an impulse purchase just based on its name?

you got the same great physics engine, but the limits are increased to fit the style of the game.
most notable increase is in grip, and especially car to car shenanigans. (forza 5 I really like that you cant go rubbin' too much without loosing it, much better approach than everything else in "sim", but horizon is a different type of car game, and I find the choice correct)
h2 still has the best handling/physics in consoles outside of forza5.
try another racer other than these two, and you will very soon realize

I'm a controller guy, but I do play with most assists off. I don't use rewind -- well, sometimes when I'm drunk but not often.
My big FH2 crutch is full racing line. Those off-road races are a pain in the ass without it.

Had a great time again. Forza 5 went better than expected (I guess because everyone was rusty) but I need some practice on those F1 cars to be competitive.

In case anyone is as curious about aero parts as I am:
All only have Forza aero with the exception of the Buick GSX and Monte Carlo, both also have wing delete options and the Forza hood option. Esprit has wing delete.
The Range Rover and RS6 can both be swapped with the 5.2L V10 from the R8. Haven't checked the others yet.
