Forza Horizon 5 comes to PS5 this Spring

Good move on MS' part. This will do well on Playstation because it fills an untapped niche.

And lets face it, its been out long enough on Xbox for it no longer to make any real difference.

Sony better take an advantage of this situation they're in - Stop announcing PC ports.

You have your main competitor literally handing you their games for free on a platter, you have your own exclusives coming, and you are THE place to play the biggest game of all time, GTA6.

They dont even have to do anything, they just stay winning. Now stop wasting time and energy on these nonsensical PC ports.
PS5 owners aren't buying enough games so they have to port to PC. Wouldn't surprised if they eventually go day and date since it worked so well with Helldivers.

It definitely had a "how do you do fellow zoomers?" vibe about it. But the writing... my god.

"my papi used to make huevos con chorizo for me and then we'd go out racing. Did I tell you I'm mexican btw? I looooove being mexican."

That's the problem is you think Sony created playstation in order to sell first party games. If Sony wanted to just sell as much software as they could they would release their games day and date. They don't because they want to sell the console first and use the games as a way to entice people to buy it. They want the free 30% from doing nothing the way Apple and Google get their money.

The difference with GAAS is you need as many people playing day 1 to maximize your chances of success. GAAS games are much harder to pull off and Sony understands that.

Hahaha, ive only ever muted the voices and disabled the subtitles in 2 games and they both have the word Horizon in the name.

Yeah the entourage (including radio personalities) is insufferable this time around. I have never skipped cutscenes so fast in my life. I did get a bit of a laugh out of the Donut Media stuff though. The donut van is also the best S1-Class Track Toy vehicle in terms of handling in my opinion.

I couldn’t get into it on Xbox.

Felt like I was playing a Mountain Dew racing game with zoomer art style

Maybe I should have given it a better chance

I felt the same.

Couldn't get into it and found it a bit tedious. In fact it made me miss motorstorm!

But anyway, I think it fills a nice space in the PS line up so good for MS finally waking up.

Personally if I buy it at all, it'll have to have good PS5 Pro support and be on a discount. It was on GP when I played it - basically cost me nothing and I'm bringing that same energy to releases from Xbox even when they find their way to PS 🤣

they will probably try to emulate what the impulse triggers on Xbox do.
not sure how well that will work tho, as it's meant to give you subtle feedback for when your grip is slipping.

Impulse triggers aren't in the same ballpark, not even close.

There's a decent dualsense mod for the PC version that makes use of most of the features (and you can customise the strength), but it relies on 3rd party software and I'd rather have native support that's of a similar standard.

you can't directly emulate the way impulse triggers work on the DualSense tho.
if they push against you you'll lose the fine control of your throttle and breaks.

the impulse trigger vibration on the Xbox controller in Forza is only there to give you feedback on your tire grip.
I don't like how GT7 uses the Dualsense triggers for example, so I wouldn't want them to use them that way.

What are you talking about?

The dualsense triggers also have the vibration function built in to them, it's not just resistance.

The guy who leaked this in November is saying it'll be on Switch 2 as well, which is odd that Microsoft haven't said anything. There's no need for them to wait until April as well as Nintendo.

Well there aren't any numbers other than COD at the top. Was that supposed to refute my comment? lol

Anyways, Sony ports to PC because they need to so that's not going anywhere. Which is nice for people like me so thanks for not buying your games.
Astro Bot (8th) sold more than a game that released on two platforms in December (Indiana Jones). Doing pretty well.

they don't. the "vibration" you feel are the motors pushing against you.
the Dualsense triggers are comprised of a rubber membrane to measure how much they are depressed, and a motor that turns a gear which gives resistance to your trigger by moving a soft trigger-stop upwards.

Welp, it begins. This is an ACTUAL first party game that's been exclusive for 20 years on Xbox. Indiana Jones wasn't really shocking b/c we all know it was being made for PS5 before MS bought Bethesda. This however is actually a gravitational shift in policy for Xbox. This is the beginning of the end. Starfield, Gears and then Halo up next IMO.

I'm glad they did the Horizon series and not just Forza. Because Gran Turismo has me satisfied there. This arcadey take could fill the driveclub itch.

I'm kinda sad though because the only Xbox/PC game I want is an age of mythology 2 port but it's so niche they might not bother.

Forza horizon 5 will do big numbers on playstation.
