Come on, B! What? WHAT?
Ready for WHAT?!
SUZUKA

for some fresh media to be released soon.

BTW coming back to your Track DLC question. ATM it is impossible to say yes they will come because as amar212 earlier said cars are the money makers not tracks. And it is often so that tracks which don't make it into the final roster are put on hold for the next installment. There are a few tracks in development, yes, but if they will come as DLC will be decided in the near future. Also career integration is no problem this time around but that also depends on several factors if or not.

Great news.. Maybe.

What are these several factors Badned? I would of thought it was a yes or a no.. not a yes, but depends which way the wind blows, sort of answer.

We're holding onto the hope that more trackS will be coming, they wont be worth it to me and many others if they aren't able to be played in the career :(

THANK YOU, KIND SIR!

So basically, these tracks in development... we all need to make a giant fuck-off fuss to Turn 10 and convince them to release them as DLC? A campaign, if you will? An internet petition? Start threads on the official forums? Spam Phantom Eckberg with emails and messages? Kidnap Dan's car, threaten his beard, that kind of thing?

NY Short for fm5 CONFIRMED!

Demo will be out Oct 18th, correct B?

In all seriousness, that is too bad that DLC tracks don't garner more sales, the numbers were pretty bleak in fm2 with Motegi and RA. Not sure of how Nurb did in 3, but I know it wasn't as expected.

I'd think a track like Spa or Bathurst would be a completely different case though, especially with the career integration.

Easy money.

I'm raising my hype level again for something special being announced very soon.

What that something special is I don't know. But could/would Turn 10 drop a big announcement this close to release? How possible is it?

Forza 4 is about car lovers and stuff so maybe Forza 5 will change track lovers into gamers and gamers into track lovers :D

I don't wanna wait that long :(

Maybe tracks don't sell well because they're not integrated into career? Just an assumption.

I bought the Nurburgring GP track, but only ended up using it for photographs and the occasional quick spin. Without career integration, it was essentially filler material.

EDIT--and another consideration, you have to release tracks that the fans are actually requested. You can't release a track that no one wants and be off-put and surprised that it doesn't sell as well as you hoped.

I like the cut of your jib H3rTz.

More Motorsports, less car collecting.

Edit- Union, good point, especially since Nurb didn't work in the online hoppers right away either.

Me too. Such a waste. But having it confirmed above that DLC circuits CAN be intergrated into the career mode is fantastic news.

Every interviewer worth his salt needs to labour this point with The Bearded One over the coming months, and we need to make Turn 10 aware that we want this.

AutoVista for tracks would be amazing.

There would be these amazing, world famous tracks that everyone would want to have in the game. To examine the details of the track, you would drive around it with other cars in a race to see who could admire all the turns of the track the quickest.

Geez I can't even focus on painting if Forza 3 anymore, I just refresh all the websites that might have some kind of new info about FM4 every 5 minutes, it's just pathetic :(

EDIT:

Thank you Shinnn :D

It really is bad. Since Forza 4 is so close I just can't get back into 3. It just feels disappointing and "old" now. God, just give us ANY information guys. We are damn near the point of really losing it.

Can't tell, it is in the hands of MS. Maybe some hours maybe a day.

Also the flood gates should open some time next week.

Gatdamn! It's always next week!

It's like that "Free Beer Tomorrow" sign at bars.

And here's a quick fix for tracks and cars as DLC: Bundle them! Get a track and maybe some cars to accent the track. So like an American speedway might have some muscle cars or something.

I don't know, it seems the people that wouldn't care about tracks and only cars most likely wouldn't buy the DLC anyway as 400-500 cars is enough for them. The people buying the DLC I would be pretty surprised if they aren't also interested in tracks.

*bigshots*

Thanks Shinnn - nice find!
I saw my very first on-the-road 370z last week. You just don't seem to see them in the UK. There are at least three new GT-Rs in my small town, even my neighbour has one. But 370zs? Like hen's teeth.

Ok did I miss something? They said Positano didn't make it and yet it's on there. Or maybe they said it just didn't get the makeover and will be in the old state? I'm confused right now.

Normally I don't sell games but I don't see myself playing Forza 3 anymore when I have Forza 4.

I said the same about FM and FM2, and ended up rebuying both of them..! :lol

Yeah, noticed that too. Maybe they renamed Amalfi..? It is weird though.

Positano isn't in, which is the long one. But Almalfi is, which is the short one at the same place.

So they switched the names for no reason? Ok.

They're the same 'place' just separated into "Almalfi" (short track only, forward/reverse) and "Positano" (all the long tracks and p2p, fwd/rev), just like in FM2. So Positano is out, but Almalfi is still in.

edit, saw the picture. dur. I'm dumb. not sure why they're calling it positano now. though, i think technically Almalfi is part of the Positano location, there were originally separate, for whatever reason.

Shinnn, could you please post the rest of the menu images from that Japanese website? It crashes my browser when I enter.

H3rTz DoNuT said:
Yeah that's what I'm saying :D Why not keep the Amalfi name?

I thought the story was "Amalfi" was the location of the track/race named "Positano"? same way "Monserrat" was the location and "Camino Viejo" was the track...maybe with only one track the location was unnecessary....
