My sentiments exactly. Can't wait to see the 'Ring in action in FM5. A little bit jealous of you Boners, but my head is still ruling my heart. I just cannot play Forza using a joypad.

I've now done a full lap in the Formula Ford and I still can't believe we finally have a Nurburgring worthy of the Green Hell title. It looks so good and truly scary, even in this Formula Ford !
Oh and, I'm expecting to see some truly beautiful photos to come out of this track, it looks that good !

It's honestly worth every bit of the hype, (and wait). The shortcomings of the 'Ring in previous Forzas were numerous and well-documented, but are now very much a thing of the past.
FM5's rendition is every bit as narrow and confining as the real thing, (it almost feels like a street circuit in comparison to FM4), with much more faithful elevation changes, and bumps and curbs that will unsettle the car if you're not careful. The narrowness of the track means you'll have to be discriminating when choosing where to overtake, but who the hell actually enjoys racing on the 'Ring? For me, it's a time-trial challenge without equal, and the experience here is a night-and-day difference from the earlier games.
The fact that it's easily one of the best looking tracks in the game doesn't hurt, either. Those 13,000+ man hours were put to very good use.

Been very hard to keep this quiet, especially with people asking about the Ring every day and giving us a lot of stick for not including it at launch, but I'm sooo glad it's finally out there now! Hopefully you'll find it worth the wait and agree with me that a job done right is a job worth waiting for.

I *almost* took today off work, and I probably should have since I've been distracted by e3 stuff all day.
Now I'm kicking myself for not doing it.
Still have a few hours left to this work day *ahem* so would dig any impressions. I take it that its a much thinner strip than previous Forzas? How are them bumps?

I took the day off and I am glad I did. The track is almost claustrophobic now with some incredible elevation changes. You really need to check it out to understand how good it is.

The most realistic shot I have ever seen in any Forza game.
Amazing work on textures, shaders and lightning.

It's quite tricky, but it's certainly fast. Be careful with it and you'll have a good time!
I've tried GT 86 on it first and it was pretty tame since it's pretty slow, but then I went there in a tuned GTR, and boy it's pretty hard to drive well, it really feels very different to all the other tracks in the game. I think Gran Turismo held the crown of having the best Nur in any game, but now I think Forza's rendition is better and of course it's light years better than previous incorrect PGR Nurburgring.
Yep, I agree that Forza has surpassed GT's rendition of the track and that's something I thought I'd never say to be honest.
While GT still has dynamic time of day and weather going for him obviously, the sense of speed and claustrophobia are much more impressive in Forza, that coupled with the highly detailed road surface make for a thrilling ride. The Forza version is finally worthy of the "Green Hell" nickname now IMO !

How do I install the new track? I don't see it in my free roam list of tracks and its not under Forza 5 add-ons.
Edit: Nevermind. Had the game suspended from the last time I played. I quit out, restarted Forza and it started downloading the update. Good stuff.

Let's hope Forza 6 in 2015 will feature both ToD/Weather systems from FH2 #Believe
My only wish for FM5 Nur would be removed 2D spectators, they honestly ruin every track and the game would be better off without any spectators at all.
