Possibly stupid question; what does the "project chat in world" (I forget the exact phrasing) option actually do?

Edit:
I was going through the settings earlier and came across one under audio for "output sounds to world" or something along those lines. What's that mean/do?

What he said!

Originally people thought it meant that it enabled proximity chat, but I think it just makes anyone not talking on a walkie come out of your speakers.

Only time I ever escaped was being a passenger in a car that drove backwards, at full speed, around the whole map to avoid Jason. I couldn't see shit, but it was epic as fuck.

Who the hell stops to fuck while you know Jason is hunting you? That never happens in the movies.

You'd have to give those options as like, pre-load outs, and give bonuses ahead of time.

- Start round smoking a bowl, x1.5 XP, vulnerable for first 15 seconds.
- Start round getting a BJ, x2 XP, vulnerable for first 30 seconds.
- Start round banging other councelor, x2.5 XP, vulnerable for first 45 seconds.

Then do the opposites like:

- You're the ugly friend who watches her friend leave to fuck some guy, x0.8 XP but invulnerable for the first 15 seconds.

A second way to kill Jason with Tommy Jarvis would be cool and I just tweeted the devs how to do it

One counselor could also be a blood relative to Jason and manage to kill him by finding a dagger or something, since there's a Jason in there anyway from "Jason Goes To Hell"

It's funny, while playing, I pretty much either escape or am the first counselor killed.

When I played yesterday, I realized one thing about this game:

If you spawn near a car or power box, your probably gonna die first.

Nah, just abandon the idea of scavenging if he shows up. Jason has no abilities at the start, and a good amount of them can't run. You can just run away from him and if your counselor had good stealth it's not impossible to escape

We're probably going to start seeing a meta game develop now regarding that. Any time I start the game, if I'm near a power box or a car I pretty much immediately book it away from there because that's were Jason usually goes first. When I play as Jason I usually go right for the power box(es) and take those out.

Pretty much. I think the developers should make it so that Jason shouldn't know where the car or boat locations are unless he's near the vicinity of them. As well as, they should have counselors not spawn near said transportation means or if one happens to be there, make sure the parts to assemble are a bit farther away.

I am new but someone was doing this in my game after following him with Jason. He kept going back and forth. I kept teleporting in front of him, so I do not know how this is a problem??? I easily kept teleporting to him and stopped him.

$5,000 Design-a-Kill!
$6,000 Horror Icon Dinner
$7,500 Launch Party
$10,000 Be in the Game!
We initially stated that our team would only offer the Tom Savini designed skin as a Kickstarter-only item to thank our earliest supporters. They would be the only ones to get the skin, and would get to have something exclusive for gameplay. Our thanks to them, and their way to show off a bit to others that they were there at the start.

Of course; we hit 12,000+ backers. Not all of them got that skin. Many opted for the cheaper options that got them the base-game, and many are now realizing that each tier lists rewards. Simply backing the game did not get you the skin. So we decided to take another route when Backerkit opened soon after the end of Kickstarter.

We offered the skin as a standalone product for backers at the pricepoint of $6USD. The same can also be said in all regards for the counselor clothing pack; they were a la carte items. You were given a menu in which to choose what you wanted, what they were to get for your level of backing, and when all was said and done we would deliver on those items.

We made that clear on Day 1 of the Backerkit that these two DLC were for backers; both Kickstarter and Backerkit. Kickstarter was a month of funding, while Backerkit lasted until the end of March 2017. We made multiple forum posts. We made multiple Facebook posts. We made multiple Twitter posts. We made multiple statements to our Backers, we posted to all current Backers on Kickstarter/Backerkit via updates and emails to ensure they had the right items they wanted and to ensure they bought for the correct platform. We showcased the skin as a teaser, we posted a teaser video, we had Tom Savini reveal his creation on our social channels with final warnings that this skin was not going to be sold after the conclusion of our backer campaign.

So here we are and here is where we are always going to stand; that skin and those clothing items are not for sale. They are not for secondary sale. They are for those that backed us and have been with us from the beginning. They are the people that took a chance on a campaign that has produced a game that is overall fun. Sure, we have issues that are being addressed at this time, but no amount of comments, complaints or insults or suggestions are going to bring that skin back. There was over a year and a half time for someone to feasibly learn about that content and purchase it for $6 or $9; you did not even need to buy the game is you did not wish too at the time.

This team stands firm that for those of you who missed out; sorry. You missed out. Our backers believed. They funded. They supported. This is our thanks to them with a skin that is in no way superior to the other versions of Jason present within the game. I am sorry for those that want it now, but you missed out. We did everything we could to ensure that the word got out through our channels, press and otherwise, but the answer remains the same; we will not sell them.

Good, I'm tired of developers offering "exclusive" KS/Backer rewards only to sell them later down the road at a reduced price. Backers took the risk of having the game see daylight and we are rewarded with a few cosmetic items, and not only that, but there was more than enough time to buy those skins prior to launch. I'm happy to see a developer, for once, stick to their guns.

I am fine with them not re-releasing the skin. I would have bought it after I already had backed them, if I would have known how powerful the Savini Jason would be. It was my fault and poor reading for not knowing it wasn't just a "skin". I'll get by though. Game is blast.

Isn't there supposed to be a Story mode on the way eventually?
Don't believe so. As far as I know, just single player with bots.

If I spawn next to a car or the two storey house the first thing I do is run a couple of houses away. Its not worth the risk of hanging around right at the beginning.

And why would I want them?
Man I got into a PS4 matchmaking game in 30 seconds. Finally got to play as Jason. Game ran smooth as fuck, killed 6 of 8 counselors. It was fucking beautiful. Looks like it's back to waiting now tho, going on 10 mins waiting for my next game :(

Random thought/statement. Am I the only one who sort of wishes that you couldn't have multiples of the same counselor in the game?

I think some people believe Counselors are supposed to "win", when it's really a game about trying to survive as a Counselor. One or two getting away, is kind of the point, like in every horror film, the lone survivors. If a whole team somehow escapes, that Jason really screwed up. So yea Jason should be over powered, counselors should always die in every game.

I see clean wipes 4/5 games. Being the last survivors or two just isn't fun, especially in lobbies without mics. It's almost always a guaranteed death sentence. You have no idea where to look for dead bodies who might have potential items.

I don't care how close it sticks to the movies if it's not fun. It's not even sticking close in its current state anyways with absolutely no survivors in most of the games I play. It's not a matter of taste. It's shitty design.

I never have an inkling of hope as the last survivors with no active objectives. At least follow Dead By Daylight and scale the difficulty according to the amount of survivors that are left. Survivors still day in DBD nearly always, but at least you feel like you have a fighting chance when it lowers the required generators.

Good. Glad to see them standing firm on that shit. Nothing I hate worse then something being exclusive made available later to everyone. You say you're gonna do something then fucking do it. Besides that skin is no different then any of the others. I've seen them kick ass and I've seen em have all 8 counselors get away. Other Jasons have the same basic setup as they do too. The only damn difference is the pitchfork instead of the spear or axe.

THIS. I'd like to either have random Counselors or you have to vote to get a specific counselor. Seeing everyone pick the athletic girl with a lot of stamina grows annoying. I pick the portly dude or the smart girl most of the time. High stealth and fast repair, but if Jason catches me I dead.

He was the one who unveiled the kickstarter, iirc. He left his previous employment to work on his 'dream game' which turned out to be Friday the 13th

I wish him and this team nothing but the best.

With what they had to work with the game turned out to be great fun.

I hope they continue to polish it and patch it up in the future.

I think that should be an option, yeah. Especially for private matches. Should be lots of options for private matches.

I just think the game would be a tad more varied if everyone was a different counselor and thus had to play to that counselors strengths and weaknesses. If everyone's goth girl the game will simply devolve into people hiding in woods constantly. I also think everyone being a different counselor would help put a spotlight on which characters are a bit broken or weak.

That's why when we've had GAF n Friends Private Matches we've always had Counselors and Jasons set to Random. Get you out of the comfort zone and makes it a little more tense and fun.

Then stop relying on others to win? Most of the streamers I watch don't even communicate at all with their teammates and end up getting away the majority of the time. I

I find that VERY hard to believe. The game is balanced brilliantly. The game you want to create has no value, as it would ruin the challenge.

The game I am spectating right now has three who have escaped (I am one of the three) and four who are still alive. There is less than four minutes left in the round. You want to make this Jason's life harder?

*edit*

Everyone lived. Flare guns, shotguns, and pocket knives ruined his day.
