I've always wondered that. Which sides would other rappers like Eminem and J. Cole take? They ain't necessarily on the coasts. Lol.

I am dying at this comment

if you see me in a fight with a bear, don't help me fool, help the bear!
I want a East coast vs the West/Rest competition.

Give me Kendrick, Jay Rock, Big K.R.I.T., maybe J. Cole vs. whatever NY has to offer. If we can get some gutter cyphers out of this, then the over-rated praise for the track/verse will not be in vain.

He already did.

East vs west was one of the worst things that to happen to hip-hop, ever.

Ever.

sure eminem makes corny songs but i doubt anybody wants to beef him. anybody but him.

and also nothing is gonna happen. not even friendly competition. if anything should have inspired shots being fired with all these new guys it should have been that twitter shit that was unearthed lol

it truly was, but nowadays when most of these dudes are about being online and shit, maybe it'd be alright/safer? i mean you go far enough on that spectrum and it's just planned WWF type shit with product placement anyway

The only thing this would accomplish is exposing the East Coast for falling off.

Which has happened already since when every NY rapper does an interview, they get asked why the East Coast has fallen off.
There's a small glimmer of hope that people go into a competitive state of mind and take it to heart.

My only fear is that we don't get dusty ass rappers try to go in on this. I don't fucking need Prodigy to soil the Infamous name any more.

Midwest and South have always taken a back seat when it comes to the spotlight and appreciation overall but that's why I mentioned a West/Rest vs East.

Man, I would LOVE for Jonwayne, Earl, and maybe some Captain Murphy (ghostwritten by Earl) to enter the West fray as well.

Imaginge a West/Alc beat vs. a East/Fraud beat

But does anyone ever learn from past mistakes?

Yeah I guess. Prodigy is actually one of the more likely to do something I'd think. Maybe struggle verses from Rae. Everyone else is too comfortable as they are.

I can't wait for Charlamagne's interviews in the future asking rappers why they didn't have the balls to go at Kendrick even not on some beef shit and hear them typically bullshit their way out of the question.

"Nah Kendrick the homie"
"I think that was good what he did, very inspirational"
"It was more at the young cats yknowwhaimsayin"
"Well technically I'm from Jersey"
"Nah you see me and Kendrick actually got a song and its hot"

ahahahaha

That tiger woods face reaction pic had me dying too.

Verse is fantastic, medium sean was shit as expected and Jay Neglect was an embarrassing afterthought.

Lol. Remember how they had the pics of the models in Def Jam Vendetta? Shit was like porn for me cause we had protection on our Internet.

Oooohhhhhh the shockwaves and salt are gonna be felt for months if Charlamagne brings this up in interviews. Gonna be so awkward/amazing

What's the time frame for response to this verse? Like a week is solid? Waiting 2 weeks makes you look lame?

it's kickstarted gaf-hop's fantasy hip hop beef league.

i kinda wish the TDE crew got some balls and just outright dissed maybach music or some other clique though.

it would be glorious to hear.

anyways...what's gunplay up to? he still has one of the hardest features of the year.

I'm interested in the aftermath (no pun intended) more than the track itself.

Obviously the track put more spotlight on Sean's album and might have been its only purpose but I think Kendrick's verse did more for TDE and by association the West more than Big Sean did for his album. And nobody cares about Jay Elec anymore but he never deserved any attention in the first place.

Watch Aubrey be the only cat comfortable enough to respond to this.

Nothing's going to come of this.
Come to think of it, Drake sorta is. Dude really lives by his own rules and much like Kendrick, everyone else is at his feet. He's also been on his calling people out tip with 5AM in Toronto and all.

Ghetto Symphony is definitely one of the best verses all year.

All this Kendrick dick riding is going to get annoying again though.

GKMC for AOTY. again.

The worst thing about this, though was Electronica's verse being worse than Seans. What was that off-beat bullshit in the beginning?

The physical form of blasphemy
Angel Haze would get fried, but she's proven that she doesn't give a fuck. She'd step to it, before a lot of these other rappers would.

What the fuck are you on?

I know. It's hard for me to take in too.

In all honesty, I really do think Sean had the best verse. I really, really feel like Kendrick's was too long and didn't come together till the end, and Electronica's just about reeked till the very end as well.

Kendrick just called himself King of NY doesn't matter if he said Nas and Jay at the top with him because he just came at them too. If this was 15yrs ago and they were young and hot headed, Nas, Jay, Ghost, Rae, G Rap the list goes on would all jump down Kendrick's throat nowadays I don't know. They just better know that Kendrick fired shots at them. You can't say I'm the king of new York except for Nas, Big, Jay et al.
