Just saw Wale's response to Kendrick's verse. Wale had me until the end. The negro looked like he was about to cry as he reminisced on the day Nas, Jay, or Dre dapped him in a noisy club and yelled in his ear "ayo man, keep working hard bruh. You doing your thing, who knows anything is possible in this world." If a tree falls in the woods and no one hears it, did it really fall? lol. The most hilarious thing about people talking about alphas and betas is that the vast majority of them banging on about "being alpha" are the furthest thing from that description as possible. In the animal world being alpha isn't about being some superthug filled to the tits with badassness. It means you are a leader. And none of these big talk/little action dudes are leaders. And really, we aren't fucking wolves, the entire concept is idiotic when applied to human beings.

- wolves are some of the only mammals that go way out of their way (like, miles) to avoid a fight with a caribou and shit
- there's a pseudo-democracy where the group can override the direction an alpha chooses, they just default with theirs if no one objects
- the notion is overblown: yeah alphas eat & fuck but so does everyone else, its not as vaunted in pack mentality (way more socialist/etc in some regards) than people play it up in gyms/playtrounds/internet etc
speaking of, the next motherfucker doesn't rack they shit in my tiny but well stocked gym ima throw a 2 and a half pound circle like a discus, swear to god...most irritating shit since dudes using the squat back to put on 2 10's and curl, like there's not 4 or 5 other places to do that shit without fuckin things up for the 3 of us that actually do leg day

You'd loose your fucking mind here in nam. Everyone at the gym here either leaves all the shit laying around the floor, or racks it wherever they feel like it. They also never ever wipe off equipment, and will use benches to just sit around and text and wont get up because "they have ten minute more". The gyms here are a mess. Part of why I just work out at home, although I'm running out of things I can do here. If I want to start building more muscle I'm going to need to wander back to those shitholes.

I dig his lines on the song. But that production and hook isn't gonna cut it for me. As for the yelling? I'm not a fan of it, even after listening to Recovery/HTS a couple years ago. Dude just needs to be chill and use his voice from "Love Me" or something along those lines. I still hope he can push out one more album I'd consider dope. Like, really really hope. For real. Haha.
Em has always been poppy. From day one since signing with aftermath. It's the stadium style rap that is annoying. Shit like not afraid which is so fucking bland and custom made to be in commercials and trailers. Em doesn't even try anymore. Which is sad, I was a huge fan. I know there are posters here that hate him, but there was a time he was a legit contender for best rapper alive. Now he is just an old addict with nothing interesting to say.
Also, that asap ferg album is super disappointing. I was really looking forward to it. It sounds like parody rap. The hooks especially are fucking atrocious and pathetic. He took every rap cliche and just made them into rap songs. There is a fucking hook that is just him screaming I FUCKED YOUR BITCH over and over. Not even trying to be clever or funny about it. Just acting like a 12 year old thinks rap should sound. It's lame as fuck. I'm back on team fuck rocky's weed carrying no talent crew. There are 3 songs on the album that might get on the playlist, the rest are generic and stupid as hell.
Like the flow, but that beat is like a dog whistle to me. Pretty grating. I would remix the shit out of it though. I mean if I did that sort of thing.
Cause now a days a classical score makes bitches sore and hip hop heads adore.
