Yes, me, and this wont stop me from buying it in any way because I do not care about the personal opinion of any individual(s) who work there. There are probably loads of personal opinions of any dev from any studio out there that I don't agree with.

In fact, my annoyance towards this dev is that I can now longer come on here and post anything positive about Ghost of Yotei without being chastised about it because I bought the game (and will enjoy it seeing as how Tsushima was perhaps my favourite game of last gen)

Now that I can respect.

I doubt those kids will ever truly get over it. And yeah, some of his views could be considered terrible if you come from the other side. All I was getting at is that no matter what words are said, you shouldn't be shot in the throat, whether it's ironic or not, it's just awful.

That is just a showing of a person who can't accept words. No matter which side of a political spectrum you fall on.

I still think both of them have a right to express their stupidity. Especially humor shouldn't have barriers/constraints, but I suspect that is a topic we would disagree on, too.
 
I think game devs need to understand that while your personal views are yours, you also represent a company. Share those views on a separate account (or do not share them at all since its a kneejerk attention response) but you should not affiliate your company with it.

If i were to do this on my Linkedin and tagging my job, i would have a conversation.

Game companies in general should have industry wide procedures for this.

I was already confused when the CEO of the insurance company was killed and many just defended the shooter and celebrate the death.
In no occasion, you should celebrate a murder in my opinion.

I want them to be fired but if they are not I'll likely buy the game if it is something I want to play. No I don't support tweeting in support of political murder if I do so, but I don't support slave labour, genocide, and other crimes that are far worse than why that person has done, yet I continue to purchase products and good from companies and countries that are complicit in such activities. So do the vast majority of people.

Scumbags, I have just started Ghost of Tushima and am about 7 hours in, It pretty shit but was willing to carry on as the amount of praise people give it, now that shit can be uninstalled later and they can stick whatever other trash there bringing out up there left woke arsehole. Will look who the other devs are later but they can all fuck off.

These left cunts are getting out of hand, you have some pricks on the left and right but the left have been the ones that show more of a terrorist mind set.

Yeah most are just not aware and even if you remind them of the way modern society/the 'civilised' world is structured they find a way to justify it to themselves that what they are doing is alright, but the other one has to change.

We should all be doing more to make the world a better and definitely abstractly away far away evils, but these people want to bring it to your front door, forgot the moral principles for a second, where is your sense of self-preservation.
 
You guys do realize the overwhelming majority of gamedev these days is very liberal right? Enough of them will share this view that boycotting all their games becomes silly. Better give up on the hobby all together.

I know that I don't have the same ideals as many developers, but I still choose to play them. But the line is drawn in this case.

And I let the studio know it in a private dm, even if my opinion does not mean anything to them.

What happens when Sony Japan, gives all control to Sony USA , I can remember yrs ago putting a comment on insomniac instagram about how they constantly pushing pride and other agenda stuff on there social media and game and comment back from them is if I don't like it then they don't want me following or buying there games, then they later deleted, constantly game companies hired staff saying stuff online and nothing is said

As for self-preservation, I'm an immigrant in Europe, the people who want me gone or want to send me back to where I came from are likely politically quite different from this person.
