Pandaman

Everything is moe to me
Knowing this show The Mountain is gonna end up living. He'll get gold, lots of women to screw/torment, and a huge profitable chunk of land for being the best murdering rapist douche he could be. He'll live happily after while the white walkers kill everybody.
:p
nah, he has to die if only to prevent Arya and the hound from getting their revenge.

That's cool. Will make it all the sweeter when Hound kills him

7 episodes of build-up for nothing...
Yeah he technically gets his confession and that could lead to more boring politics, but fuck me why is it always the most interesting characters that end up dying in the middle of their fucking story arc?
I get that not everything gets resolved the way we want in real life, but nothing ever gets resolved in this show.

I still like it a lot, in fact this episode was brilliant from begenning to end, and I vastly prefer a show that plays with my emotions to a boring one where nothing happens, but I just want to see one good thing happen, man. Just once.

I'm not a huge fan of Daenerys, but she is a lot better character in the books. She has all the qualities to be a good queen and she is a very nice person in the written fiction. In the series she is acting a lot cocky lately.
I know you mean nothing by this, but these types of comments are not really supposed to be in this topic.

They prefer that no comparisons be made. No mentions of the books at all really. There is a separate topic for people that have read the books, and want to compare the two.

I also think that this gif belongs here

This is the day King Juan Carlos of Spain, House of M, choose to abdicate.....coincidence? I think not.

Yeah, he took one look at what happened to the one Mediterranean looking Prince on the show and went, "Yeah fuck that noise, aidós amigos"

Cindres

Vied for a tag related to cocks, so here it is.
Oh yeah, the Hound and Arya's bit was great, short and sweet but hilarious. Her and Sansa were SO CLOSE once again, though I guess we didn't actually see them turn and leave but I doubt they're hanging around.

The dragons...they are coming. Oh yeah and those ice walkers.

Understood. I thought only spoilers were forbidden.

The only people I'm truly rooting for at the moment:

-Sansa
-Margaery
-Brienne

There are other characters I like, but none of them I really stand behind 100%. Oberyn's presence will definitely be missed, so I hope some cool new characters are on their way, preferably with a bit more life expectancy.

You might want to read the rules in the OP.

So...I don't really watch Game of Thrones but a friend insisted I come over to watch the episode because Oberyn is a female friend's favorite character. She recently got a kitten and even named it after him. It sounds sick but I took so much delight in the explosion and her crying/screaming afterwards.

10/10, would watch someone's night get ruined again.

Its a brilliant way to potentially introduce the last important house in Westoros next season. *shrugs*

OMG.

I feel sorry for her. lol

Well...I guess on the bright side
it looks like Jon Snow will finally do something next week.

He did something last episode. Killing Chett and friends. Eh... keeping Chett distracted for him to be killed. He's actually doing a lot this season.

Or was that 2 episodes ago?

You know what? This is pretty much what I hate the most in any piece of fiction. When someone has victory handed to them on a plate a fuck it all up because of how stupid they are. Bonus points when they fuck over other people in the process. Oberyn you stupid idiot.

The part with Sansa and The Hound was pretty funny though.

That's terrible, and you're a terrible person who should be ashamed. Deeply ashamed.

Did you film it?

The fact that Arya mentioned it again in this episode is not a good sign.

I hope it's just a lead-up to him overcoming his fear of fire and letting her burn it. I don't want to see a badass like him die a shit death. There are too many of those in the show.

Wow, wtf, I can't believe it.

Why didn't he just kill him? And that ending was brutal. Poor Oberyn, just when I was beginning to like you :(

Haha yeah. It took four seasons, but I finally got to that point. I didn't really care that Ned got killed or that the red wedding happened... But this episode man... What the fuck. I just hope my other favourite characters are not next on GRR's shit list.

Proper GRRM'ing would be having his wound burned to help heal it but then having him light on fire as a result.

Nah we'd need someone else to insult him/rob him of his dignity in his dying moments :p

I don't even care if characters I like die any more. I just hope they don't die the way Oberyn did. :|

Ugh..

Dorne remembers.

Dorne has been collecting L since even before the show started. It isn't a celebration in King's Landing if there aren't some person from Dorne getting their heads crushed in. Man if I was one of Prince Oberyn's escort dudes, I would have thrown a spear or a sword at the mountain's back. The Lannisters could blow me for all I cared. But Oberyn would be running around looking like a hockey player. But that's gotta be better then dead right?

I still don't think the head pop was that bad. Not any worse then Drogo ripping the guys lungs out or the dude at the joust.

Nah we'd need someone else to insult him/rob him of his dignity in his dying moments :p

Something with Sansa ignoring him then. And Mountain killing him.

Ugh..

It's been.... an hour since I finished watching that episode and his scream and face and that gore that exploded out of his head at the end is still swimming in my head ;__;

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

He could have done so without standing right next to him with his guard down. :/

To be fair, he's a good guy in GoT. Letting his guard down comes with the territory.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I actually mentally blanked out the scream, I don't even remember it. I just feel sick.

GSG Flash

Nobody ruins my family vacation but me...and maybe the boy!
I use entertainment as a refuge from the harsh realities of real life, this series takes that, stomps on it, and then throws me back into real life :(

The sad fact is that bad guys win a lot of the time in real life too.

I thought that last scene was actually more shocking than the Red Wedding, simply because of the manner in which it played out.

So... that just happened. Mind blowing. Luckily I don't really need sleep, it's more of a luxury. I knew it was coming the moment he pulled his spear out, but it was the clearly presented brutality of it that left me in awe; that was nearly the worst death I think I've ever seen. Still replaying in my mind. Crazy-town. And there's no way The Mountain gets an off-screen death. Not after that.

I like that the Stark girls are moving in two different directions, with two different "mentors". Two sides of the same coin. One is learning to play the game, the other is learning the secrets of steel. And their current company are nearly the best at their respective arts. Family reunion is going to be something special.

And if the Hound goes the way of the Droggo, then I won't even be mad - I'll be straight up disappointed. I suspect him overcoming his fear of fire will be the end-result of that, but man - if he get's GRRMed...
