It might just be computer parts to you but many people want in depth information and many viewers of GN definitely want his "anal stupidly overcomplicated depth" as you put it.
But that aside you clearly didn't watch the video, he says that Forspoken is shit half way in the video.

LTT a few years ago became 100% interested in adverts rather than content and i unsubscribed at that time, it's an sbsolute POS joke of a channel.
I'm glad we have Gamers Nexus and Hardware Unboxed.
Jazz no sense is another channel that's become a POS channel, at keast it was mildly funny in the past, now its trying to be serious when noone could take their content seriously.
This is sll the result of the YouTube algorithm, increasing subscribers fir subtier channels with shit expressive facial thumbnails.

Another day, another drama between two YouTubers. They are both insufferable from time to time and I guess anyone could dig out the same amount of stuff (especially testing errors and moot deals) on GN given the proper focus. That's how media works.
Shame that given the field, we won't have 'clips not mags' moment out of this story.

He likely already makes more than 100 million, I worked for a fiber optics company in the Bay area and the CEO basically said he could've walked away several times but the long term is better for him financially and offering fiber Internet all over California (they're rolling out 10gbps for 40 bucks)
Why take 100 million now when you can make more later? Buyouts exist to get the CEO out, nothing more.

Response seems fair. I’ll keep watching, Linus and his team are far more entertaining than most tech YouTubers. I’ll watch the other channels when I looking for insight on a product, I’ll watch LTT for things I don’t care about just for fun.

Pretty much sums my thoughts about GN.
The fact that GN said they spent months on this video (seriously?) & still never went to LTT/Linus for a statement regarding the prototype/auction situation speaks volumes in itself. That literally goes against basic investigative journalism.
GN was great in it's beginning but you can already see the cracks forming in their try hard attempts to stay relevant against automation (labs).
Igor is one of the few trusted people I follow in this landscape, so its infuriating when someone (GN) preaches ethics yet doesn't follow the same advice. I got no time for hypocrites, especially when it's on a ethical basis. Also, Hardware Unboxed is another I lost trust in when they blatantly recommended the PG27AQDM when it had HUGE HDR color issues which still haven't been corrected despite multiple firmware updates (all over reddit). They turned a blind eye after being called out for their original review.
I digress though. All YT'ers have their faults, but I'm more inclined to keep watching the ones (for pure entertainment purposes) who acknowledge their faults instead of those who put others on ethic pedestals yet don't hold themselves to the same accountability & standards they preach (GN & HUB).

I don’t watch LTT much anymore. Maybe if there is a video with some crazy experiment or some shit but even those are a mess now. That recent USB one was a mess.
If I want to see benchmarks on something (when a new CPU/GPU is out) I’ll also watch them but it seems you can’t put too much trust in them. If I’m looking for benchmarks then I go around LTT, HardwareUnboxed, GN, Jayz, etc. honestly, unless LTT sorts this shit out I’ll be dropping them.
I’ve always like GamersNexus but putting out a video like that makes me respect them more. Good on them highlighting it and risking their own ass.
While I’m not a big fan of LTT I do hope they turn this around. I don’t think GN is attacking them but just providing some friendly thoughts and advice.
