Does this aply to pre - built PCs with a 1080 in it or does it have to be the stand alone card? Less than 2 weeks ago I bought an HP Omen with a 1080 from Microcenter , think this applies ?

Should be with PCs too. Look up the prebuilt on MC and see if it's listed (or the old Paragon one is).
 
talked to newegg, no code but not surprised

bought my 1070 in june.

wonder if talking to manufacturer will be worth it
 
Tried with Newegg and they said no. Purchased my card in July.

It was worth a shot, but I don't really feel like they have any obligation to give the promotion on past purchases. So not surprised. At least they seem to be honoring it for those that purchased very recently.

I cashed it in when I got it but I never actually played or really heard of Paragon before getting the 1080.

I don't even have the Epic Launcher installed.

The game's actually that big :-)

The Windows Store used to require a lot of extra room to install big games (2x or more), but that was improved last fall. Now it's just the size of the game itself.

Note that your download will be less than 80GB though since the files which get downloaded are compressed, and then during the download they get decompressed in real-time to expand to ultimately be around 80GB.
 
Just got a laptop with a 1070 in it from Best Buy yesterday. They screwed up handling the order and had it sitting in the back of a store, not added to the store's inventory, for about 11 days. I don't see Best Buy on the retailer list on the NVidia promo site for it, but it's worth a shot anyway.

Contacted Scan.co.uk customer service through their chat support, told them I'd like to trade my unused Paragon credit code for the new Gears of War 4 promotion, and they told me to keep the credit, and gave me Gears 4 on top, just by giving them my invoice number.

For reference, I bought my 1080 on Friday, so I was only 3 days out of the promotion. Hope everyone the same luck with their respective e-tailers.
 
Nobody seems to be selling theirs. I have no idea why either, not like the game is going to be good or anything. I heard it's supposed to be a terrible port. SMH You guys could head over to the BST thread and make a quick buck while the hype is there and save yourselves some trouble.

lol this goes through next month. Stay strong. These will drop in value very quickly as more people buy cards and sell codes.

Might need to give it a few days lol. Pretty much anyone that has it are people that are having to ask customer service for it (so are likely to be people that want it). Need to wait for the folks that are buying 1070s anyway and don't care about the game that are just getting a bonus.

That and the random folks that end up with like 30 copies.

Got a code for my brother's gtx 1080 he bought this month from Newegg. They first tried to get around it by bringing up the Paragon code given out that nobody uses. Mentioned people getting the gears 4 code from recent purchases, then they granted the code.

I'm sure all the people reading a thread about Nvidia GPUs will find this physical Xbox-only copy very helpful.
 
That's really cool, I remember when they did this with Arkham Knight. I'll have to look for a similar deal when I'm building a computer next year.
 
Microsoft, reduce the price of the game in the Norwegian store and I'll consider it.

I mean, the standard edition costs 72$ in NOK. That's too much money for a game for me. These days I barely buy games over 20$.
 
NewEgg denied my request when I called a few moments ago. Purchased an EVGA GTX 1070 FTW back on August 26th. They did try to offer me $25.00 off of the game, but I wasn't really interested at that point. Pretty freaking bush league if you ask me. If I'd known that a Gears promotion was coming, would have held off and just bought the card now. I have no use for Paragon points.

I've never bought a video card in the past and had a bundled game included that I actually wanted to play. This situation is the exception for me as I really like Gears and wanted to make that the first meaty game I played on my new system.
 
Just bought one from Jet.com but then realized they aren't on the authorized retailers list on the Nvidia page.

Can anyone confirm whether or not this works with cards bought from Jet.com?

Probably not. They are a very general retailer with customer service that's middling that probably will have no fucking clue what the promo is. Not to mention they just got sold to Walmart so they probably don't have a lot of incentive to keep customers right now since they'll be overhauled soon.

If you literally just ordered I'd probably cancel, unless it was so cheap reordering on another site would not be worth the difference.
 
Ehhh..Microcenter told me to contact Nvidia , Nvida told me to contact HP ,HP told me to contact their Omen specific department , my homegirl told me to fuck it cause I probably won't play it anyway and she's probably right .

I emailed them since I can't really call them right now, but I'm fully expecting to not hear back until next week. They're so very expeditious about responding to email inquiries, you see.

For what it's worth, Amazon accepted my request through e-mail; no argument or anything necessary. The whole thing was rather complicated as they had me purchase the game digitally to get the code, then are refunding me the cost on a different order because you apparently can't refund a digital order without also invalidating the code.

I get the sense they didn't realize how complicated it was going to be until they were in it, but they did issue me the refund (Or at least it's forthcoming). Ordered a 1070 the last day of July.

*sigh* I have GCU and love it. But I joined the master race 2 weeks ago... so I really want that PC version. If I was still console-only, I'd jump on that deal.

I bought my 1070 in store last week and I called the 800 number this morning and was told to go into the store to deal with getting the code.
 
I'm looking forward to my $5 key for GoW4.

I bought my 1080 near launch so I doubt I qualify.

On second thought, if I have to use Windows Store for this shit then fuck it I'm out
