Good news if true, we need some breathing room in between the new character banners or Inazuma will become too freaking expensive.

So is this rumor saying that Ayaka will get a rate up character banner for 1.7 than move to the permanent banner?
Getting a free dendro hero makes sense once they introduce those mechanics into the game.

Well kinda. There's also some other factors in play. Technically, hard pity is 90 pulls to guarantee a 5* character. "Soft pity" kicks in around 73-74 and gives you a huge boost to % chance to get a 5* though, so you're really unlucky if you ever go all the way to 90. Then, on the limited character banner (like the current Eula banner), you can ONLY get 5* characters at your pity. At the first 90 pulls it's only guaranteed to be a 5* though, so you have a 50/50 shot of getting the featured character or another of the 5* standard banner characters. If you lose the 50/50, then the next 5* you pull (at pity or not) will be the featured banner character. This pity carries across banners of the same type, so if you are like 40 rolls deep into the Eula banner, when the Klee banner comes, it picks up at 41 towards your pity. It also carries across the 50/50, so if you pulled on Eula banner and got Qiqi, then waited until Klee banner, the next time you get a 5* it will guarantee Klee.
Weapon banner is a whole different level of fuckery though as there is no guaranteed on any specific 5* weapon because they put multiple featured weapons. Don't ever pull that banner unless you sell your bitcoin and are living in a castle in Belize.

Kaz looks like a good substitute for Venti. And Venti is an absolute game changer - and xirz's also not gonna return any time soon. He doesn't really need a carry at this point, and he'll easily pull one - Razor is kinda common for example, he's awesome and he's on Kaz's banner.

Might wait to pull on the Klee banner until the end of it just in case!

On the off chance that banner is real, I'm going to have to save some gems for that one. I want Rosaria, but I don't have her. I was close to pity, and didn't want the five star on that banner. My Bennett is C4, and my razor is C4. Everything there would be a welcome upgrade.
Note to new players, do NOT unlock C6 for Bennett. Most here already know this, but it will greatly lower your DPS with almost any attack that doesn't already do pyro damage.

If you can get into the event, do that now. It's limited time, whereas the rest can be done whenever. Sucrose is really good if you can get her a "Sacrificial Fragments" book. It's a random 4* gacha book so I'm sure you'll get one sooner or later.

Regarding 1.6, I'm actually having fun roaming around exploring and blowing up shit with my boat. Sucks that they're time gating progress by hiding most of the islands underwater until the next "phase", but what would a MHY game be without time gating. I can't wait to get the full collection of these conch shells.

getting a keepsake from "outside of this world", indicating that it's likely where Alice is from. Part of me wonders if the whole conch story is going to be different parts of Alice's memories. Deep implications here that Teyvat is a self-contained world or virtual world or bubble universe or something like that. Can't wait to find out more. I'd also love it if we actually get to meet/see Alice at the end, but it looks like we just get her record player and a message from her.

I was in the middle of the quest cutscene at Mondstadt and someone just joined my world. Was odd.
Side note, Boat mechanics and conch collection is fun. I like the tidbits of lore we're getting.

Pull up your main menu, go to notices, then go to the events tab and you can always see what level each event requires. The answer for the island event is AR 21. So hit that if you haven't yet, and get started right away. As Pejo said, the rest can wait.

I've got 8 Acquaint Fates (not sure where from), but I wanted to know if I can convert these to Intertwined fates so I can pull from the limited banner?
Also, if I can't convert these, is it better to wait till 10 fates total to pull vs doing them one by one, or say 8 of them at one time and then 2 later. Will I still that benefit of a 4 star every 10 wishes (regardless of if I pull in one go or individually)?

Depends if you're close to pity. If you around 70, maybe it's a good idea so save some pulls and go with 1 by 1. If you're faraway from pity... Well, pull with what you got and hope for the best hah
