Guys, I fucking did it. My god what a shit area, but that's "100%" in every area in the game. This one was down to the wire, the last Dendroculus in that area let me open the last Shrine of Depths to hit the 100%. I'm sure I'm missing a ton of stuff here but it's so fucking painful to navigate. Maybe after 4.0 when we get the underground maps, I'll go back and do a sweep.
Speaking of the area, I'm so torn about it in general. It was an absolute chore to explore and "complete", but the lore was some of the darkest and best written stuff we got. Unfortunately again, however, all of that lore was presented in text-heavy books/plaques/statues/murals instead of in an organic way. Well most of it.
The story of Gurabad and Liloupar and Deshret is crazy up and down, and I like that they aren't afraid to show the ugly side of Sumeru's past. It goes a long way to make the world feel believable, and this is one of the things I appreciate most about Genshin. But DAMN, they need to present it just a bit better.
This little sequence was pretty "adult" for a game that just had us riding rollercoasters around a Hydro Disneyland and speaking baby language to some brothers having a pretty pedestrian argument.
