Ugh, I quit playing Dark Souls for like a month when I got to this part and was underleveled and couldn't get past it. Finally brute forced my way through and escaped the world, but I was so burnt out I haven't really made much progress in the game since. Watching Brad's souls video made me want to get back in the game though.

To be fair, playing against better players (as long as you or someone else observing/playing with you makes the effort to analyze and learn from mistakes) is the way to get better yourself.

What's going on with this Flake guy can you just decide to join whoever's game you want? I thought the whole online process was a lot more arcane than that.

He's just stream sniping. If you know what level someone is, and which area they are in, it's not difficult to get in a certain game, especially 2 or 3 years after release.

It's supposed to be random but there's ways on PC to choose who you are invading. It's not meant to be possible though.

I played Dark Souls but never touched Demon's Souls before Breaking Brad, so I think I'll give it a shot since I got it free through PS+. So glad it works with the Dualshock 4 wired to the PS3, hope Dark Souls 2 also works with the DS4.

Weapons are a matter or preference in this game. As long as you're good about upgrading it, any weapon works.

There comes a time where you need to man up and two hand a weapon. Also he can just revert it if he really doesn't like the axe.

I never got into the painting world. Though all the Souls content lately makes me want to get back into Dark Souls. I gave up a few months ago after dying literally 50 times in a row to either Smough and Ornstein or Lautrec and his buddies. Both of those fights are simply beyond my capabilities. But we'll see. Watching Patrick has shown me that I've missed a lot.

Yep definitely a good idea if we can get some expanded looks at early games this way outside of UPF. Not that it can't be entertaining on UPF but this way they can give those games some proper time, do some research before and take repeated looks at interesting stuff to see how it is doing.
