Does that mean that Jeff isn't aware of a single game that isn't already known about? During UPF he said he only knows one unannounced game. That is going to either make for a lot of excited reactions during their reactions to the conferences or a whole lot of boredom and disinterest in the announcements in general from everybody watching.

If Jeff gives an excited reaction during any press conference, that will be the biggest shock of E3.
I hope I am wrong.

If Dan is the new guy, I could easily see people being rubbed the wrong way by him. He's quick to dismiss anything he doesn't understand as "stupid." Like anime or popular non-Nintendo Japanese games (though he seems to like weird "obscure" stuff like Illbleed and Tail of the Sun, so that's awesome). Sure, he may be joking half the time, but I can see people getting upset by that.

Well, not to be too snarky, but that's kind of already been the case with Giant Bomb, right?

So, basically he's giantbomb?

woah a giant bomb member who makes snap judgments about anime and japanese games unless they're super weird enough to like "ironically"? sounds like the crew is really moving out of its comfort zone and broadening its horizons

I'm debating whether to watch Giant Bomb's stream of the Sony conference (I love the guys' reactions to things) or watching the official stream (so I can hear everything without commentary) and then watching the GB stream right after it. What are your plans for E3 viewing?

Well he has an official Ribera Steakhouse jacket and that means he can basically do what he wants. I expect Hansen lariats and Brody chain swings during most of the upcoming Bombcasts(while Immigrant Song plays )

If I wasn't going to the Sony theater thing, I'd be watching w/o commentary first and watch w/ commentary after or at a later date. Might be weird, but I do like to hear everything they're saying on stage or during videos even if most of it is useless.

I'll be watching the conferences with commentary if I can. If I miss anything, I'm sure I'll see it on this forum later in the day or the next.

Still without luck

just watch the official stream...you will miss some words and announcements will be made fun of.

Only downside of watching the commentary is their habit of laughing at and mocking the stupid hyperbole and press conference theatrics so much that they miss the actual two seconds of useful information that follow the hyperbole, and they're confused or making incorrect assumptions for the next few minutes.

I prefer to watch the press conference without commentary first. Even if it's dumb I still enjoy getting hyped during conferences. I enjoy jaded mocking too, but that has to come second, otherwise I couldn't have genuine excitement watching it as it happened.

I guess, but not everyone Ioves that part of GB, and to have ANOTHER dude like that in place of Vinny may be a little too much for some folk.

But whatever. I love Dan, so I really do hope he is the guy.

Whatever I do, I hope I have a decent connection (I always seem to have a meh connection during UPF). Unrelated to my E3 anticipation (but hopefully helpful regardless), I just purchased a powerline adapter that allows me to use the electricity of my house to send an essentially hard wired internet connection to my PC. They should arrive tomorrow.

that's perfect!

i was just re watching that e3: the longest day video they did last year. They showed the process of recording the press conference feed and i kept thinking to myself "why do they really need to do all this crap, they don't use it for anything and a thousand other sites record it."

this seems like the giant bomb spin on it (which is usually dudes talking over the thing you wanna see)

I always watch the official stream first, then go back and watch Giant Bomb's reactions to all the announcements just for entertainment.

Part of why I enjoy the conferences is seeing the reactions, so seeing that neogaf will be down for 80% of them I'll at least be able to get the giantbomber's reactions.

Still trying to figure this out myself. I'm afraid if I watch the GB stream first, I'll be ignoring what they're saying and trying to pay closer attention to the conference. So I may just do it the other way around, although doing that with the Sony stream from early last year was a little less fun not learning the surprises with them. I'm still thinking I'll watch it raw first.

I plan on watching it online with my friends in a group chat (Probably PS4 chat this year). We laugh and poke jokes at every moment and savor that sweet announcement that makes us all so excited or extremely disappointed. Its a great way to figure out what the group is going to buy and what the group will avoid in the coming years.

Then the Giantbomb reaction will follow because I like to see if my initial reaction matched theirs.

I'll watch it with the GB reactions. I haven't had any problems following the previous conferences with them talking over it. I can't imagine missing anything of importance doing that.

Just a quick question regarding the conferences commentary, probably answered already, they aren't going to attend the conference? Will we have a stream from whatever porn studio they rented this year?

We're not sure if they split the group, do commentary from the conference or all back from the studio.

It will be a stream from whatever place they rented in LA, yes. At least the majority of the crew won't be at the conferences, but we don't know if everyone will be doing commentary or if one or two of them are going to the conferences (Alex is the most likely to be doing that, I guess).

Alright, thanks.
