Going and telling the wife will likely just results in you being portrayed as an asshole by them even though they are the ones in the wrong. It's not fair, but it's life. At best you might feel better yourself, most likely the two you are trying to destroy won't care, and at worst there could be unexpected consequences (the dude trying to find you etc..).
