GOG's #NoDRM Summer Sale [UP: Last day]

Holy shit Torchlight is so good! I dl'd it and thought "Eh, I'll try it out for a few minutes." Fast forward 4 hours and I'm hooked >.>

Couldn't resist, just got Torchlight for free and Alan Wake bundle for incredible 3.45 € only!!

<3 GOG

I'll wait with Clive Barker's Undying, FTL and System Shock 2, maybe they get cheaper in a daily deal.

IIRC, you have to buy bundles in one go, you can't put them in the cart as part of a later larger purchase.
Yeah I had to buy them separately, it just seems so backwards. The whole point of a 90% sale is to get people in the door so you can sell them a bunch of other stuff while they're at it. It's like these guys don't understand the first thing about capitalism!

Damn, the summer sales are starting again -.-

I want Torchlight, Alan Wake, System Shock 2, FTL and Clive Barker's Undying!
But damn, my backlog is so fucking huge already... :O

Got a question: System Shock 2 and FTL are now 50 % off (4.99 $ each). Are those offers valid until July 5th? Any chance those games will get cheaper in a daily deal?
You do know that Torchlight is free right?
They are valid til July 5th unless they're developed by one of the companies who stop on the 25th.
And yes, there is a chance they will get cheaper. So wait for the daily deals.

Oh man, how will I be able to resist these sales?
Be strong, padawan....

I'm keeping my eye on la Mulana... Been wanting to get it for a long time

Edit: how did I miss Jade Empire coming to the service?!?

Eh, Jade Empire just came out a few days ago. And we're kinda over the whole "9.9/10" thing. Game's weak.

La Mulana, though... really wish that went on sale, as I've been wanting to play it for a while now. I guess that's more my fault than anything.

This is maybe a glitch, but do you notice that the newer releases appear to be not included in the sale? They actually are; Just put the game(s) in the cart and check out. I got Project Eden and Wizardry 8 for $8. :)

Edit: Looks like they fixed the glitch. Oh well.

Seriously? aww man.

A bunch of newer releases are not on sale. I just assume that the developers didn't want the newly released games to be on sale so soon.

Hmmm my bank flagged my purchase as possibly fraud. I've bought from them before. Odd.

Most banks have issues with payments going through Cyprus and eastern europe for some reason, I guess it is auto flagged as fraud just for security reasons. I had a issue with my bank where I made several purchases in a row at GOG and then they flagged it and auto cancelled all the transactions and locked my debit card. Call the bank and explain the situation and they can unblock it and allow the transactions to go through.

GOG processes all payments through Cyprus.

Does anyone know if NWN2 includes the MotB and other expansions? Plus how does the patching system work? The one on the retail disc is dire.

Here is what it says on the game card page

What's cool about it:

Neverwinter Nights 2: Complete includes the original game, and three expansions: Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, and Mysteries of Westgate.

As for the patching it seems to be a standalone universal update that is 51MB that you run after you install the game itself.

BUY THE F*CKING WITCHA 2 FOR 10 DOLLARS DRM FREE PEOPLE!

You have been complaining: "DRM XBOX1 mommy the boogie man is getting us!" Well here are awesome games no DRM. Support this.

Picked up the Ultima VII pack with some leftover change in my Paypal account. Just got finished downloading exult and am ready to dive back in. It's been so long.

Any chance a System Shock daily deal?

Save for that im waiting for a potential Ubisoft Daily, great catalogue:
Rayman 2, Sands of Time, Chaos Theory, Far Cry.

The D&D sale is fantastic. I picked it up last time it happened, well worth it. Also free Torchlight is great as well. Awesome sale overall, and it's just begun.

I didn't know Sands of Time was on gog. Does it have patched-in gamepad controls? I remember on the retail version of the game I had to add a file in the game's directory to get my gamepad to work.

The entire trilogy is in there, plus the beautiful both shalow 2008.

Are you sure? I remember gamepad working fine back when I played it.

Edit : This was the retail version. Worked fine with my crappy Logitech controller at that time.

I wouldn't be surprised if the PoP games were a daily deal at some point... cuz they're like $5 each right now... I could see a package deal for $10 happening.

It might just have been the game not recognizing certain brand of controllers.

God, I had forgotten how annoying this used to be before the 360 pad became the standard. The best thing MS ever did for PC gaming.

So...gog games, do they legit work on newer OS and PCs without issue? There are a lot of great old games on there i remember that im sure have had issues. Do they patch them to work right? I have mostly just bought oldschool D&D stuff and they work fine when i try them.

There are maybe a couple games that some people have reported some issues with, but yes, in general, everything is made to run on modern systems.

No reason to pass on this: http://www.gog.com/gamecard/king_of_dragon_pass

One of best, and most overlooked PC games of the late 90s.

Since I was ignored, time for the hard sell:

Duck warriors!

Well, this is a seal on my 3rd Neverwinter Nights 2 copy mainly to get a diskless version of Baldur's Gate I and II.

I guess Neverwinter Nights 1 is included in the package...I don't know if I consider this a positive, however.

This is great. Grabbed Torchlight earlier, and I'm highly likely to pick up the RollerCoaster Tycoons and proceed to lose what productivity I still have.

We should all pitch in and get you a PS4.

Seriously, I think we should. This is a serious suggestion so I hope someone sets something up

The sad thing is Sony probably can't send him one as thanks without it looking sketchy. I'd chip in but I'm having troubles funding my own. :(

Granted, if I do manage to get a PS4 near launch it'll be at least partially funded with used games...
