Awesome. Now, we just need Jerome to have green hair as he busts out for the stinger on the finale. And then everything will be perfect~!

This going to be a bold decision if the finale ends with
Freeze, Fish, Firefly, and Clayface out in the wild. Not to mention Penguin coming back into power with the help of Butch and with the Court of Owls finally in play. Yikes. Season 3 is going to be even more insane.

Yeah it feels like they're setting up Season 3 where all hell breaks loose.

Yea I don't even know where Season 3 will go with all of this happening.

Are the Court of Owls from the comics? I've never heard of them before.

Everyone was at the top of their game this episode. I really like Miss Peabody's attitude to everything. Bullock was hilarious at the start and I didn't mind Fish at all.

Clayface was weird though. I guess he was just a nobody until Strange told him his name was Basil and he was an actor. And that giant iron maiden helmet was goofy but I guess that's one way to portray his powers.

Yes, they were introduced at the start of Scott Snyder's Batman run when the New 52 happened in 2011. It was an excellent story arc that kicked off a really good run (which recently ended).

Awesome, glad to hear there's a relatively new aspect of Batman lore that's iconic enough to adapt in other places like Gotham. Can't wait to see them.

DAMN. I don't know how they do it, but just when you think Gotham can't get any better...

Season 3 is going to be pure insanity.

Just when I thought things couldn't get crazier. Decent episode, good setup for the finale. Hugo Strange has been one of the funnest things about this season.

Comic Spoilers

First glimpse of the Court of Owls. Guess we know what the nemesis in Season 3 is going to be.

This is my favorite show on TV right now, the second season has been better than I could have even imagined. Can't wait for the finale.

did hugo strange acquire jerome too? because if so then that's practically a guarantee for hugo's last revival assuming the actor isn't busy or anything.

fun ass show. strange is so entertaining as well, i hope he lives to be a recurring character once in a while in the future. i don't want him to die by the end of this season.

that music motif during bruce wayne scenes is so good btw.

Pretty sure one of the first glimpses of the tanks had Jerome in one of them. Someone earlier in the thread had a screen cap of it.

Just saw it. Dayum. Fish didn't really do anything yet, but she could be pretty interesting with her new power. Also, Court of Owls, fuck yeah! The finale will be great and I need S3 right now. God, so damn good!

Fish being back will no doubt derail what had been a amazing season.

She is fucking horrible in this show

Why...why?!?!

Just so everyone knows. No everyone hated the character. I would say people are split. There are those that didn't like her and those that loved the character and were extremely happy she was back last night.

Someone doesn't watch enough SVU!

I was about to say. It would be easy to not recognize him here, he's like a totally different person in this role.

I didn't mind Fish that much. My biggest issue with Season 1 was all of the mob storyline. The constant backstabs and allegiance changes just became boring to me. Fish suffered a lot in the back half of the season when it was clear they weren't sure what to do with her, and just stalled for time until the finale.

I don't think any character is going to automatically make the show worse. It's all how they are written. At the moment she is strongly connected to the Indian Hill plot, not off on some island away from all the interesting storylines. So she's in the midst of the good stuff, I don't see any reason why she can't work now.

I like the Fish character, but I just hope they don't go back to a mobster focused season. Make her a super villain now instead of a mob boss.

Is the Fish character based on a DC comic character?

Not sure how I feel about Strange being responsible for creating all of batmans villains. it changes somes origins, and gives some to others that are best left a mystery like the Joker.

Fish is an original character for the show. Which I think was a smart decision off the bat. Have something that is unique to the show, mixed in with the known villains.

I'd like to see Fish team up with The Lady, and maybe throw Barbra in there too. Just some sorta Bad Bitches United cabal. Lol

That was the weakest episode in quite some time, I feel. Firefly really drags the quality down. But it does seem to setup next week to be crazy, at least.

HOLY SHIT what an episode.

Court of Owls, Clayface, Firefly. HOLY SHIT.

Only annoying aspect was Fish. Of course she remembers who she is and of course she has the power to make people do what she wants.

By the way, how were they (Strange) able to find Fish corpse ? Not to mention somewhat intact ? Didn't she die landing in the water in the middle of the night, with only Penguin and Butch as witnesses ?

To be fair, were we all even convinced she was dead to begin with? There was no body shown, so I at least assumed they kept it vague for the possibility of her surviving.

Yeah it felt like a total set-up ep, but it was fine

Couldn't match last week's

Though Bullock in charge is something special

I'm at episode 16. When Bullock visits Jim, is that the exact same location that
Punisher and Kingpin
(DAREDEVIL SEASON 2 SPOILER) meet?

edit: just rewatched that scene in Daredevil. Looks like it is.

So nygma vs Lucius. Curious to see how that plays out.

This should be good.

I hope so, as the Bruce and Strange scene was so amazing this episode.

Why are Strange and Nygma soooooo good when they are so evil. Love it.

LOL yeah.

They revel in it so much!

So far I think there's been good balance.

It's also helped how good he's been in the role and how messed up/deliciously evil he and his assistant have been as well as Arkham's reputation. He's created some and just given others their extra abilities or in Freeze's case the frozen room he needs to survive. I think it's worked since they have had Strange working out of Arkham.

Even if he brings Jerome back to life, I wouldn't give Strange credit for having created the Joker. Jerome already existed if he comes back with his self-identity intact and at least in my opinion with Jerome I think plenty is still mystery enough about him since he was so amazing in the role to an extent I don't think most expected.

In Jerome's case, I can imagine Strange actually screwing up and only bringing back part of his personality. The party he messed up would make him crazier. Like Joker crazy.
