I believe this year will be more one sided.

Death Strading and Resident Evil 2 ended "almost" tied last year.
 
It'll be overwhelmingly TLOU2, because of course it will, but it shouldn't be. TLOU2 should win on technical (graphical, animation) and performance and that's it.

Ori 2, Doom Eternal and Hades were all better overall packages, but they'll all get somewhat snubbed. The fact that they're on average probably the three hardest games of the broader nominations is not a coincidence.

Despite other game being good I would have been surprised if Tlou2 wouldn't sweep everything.
It seems to be a good game and ticks all the PC checklist. A winner from the start.

I will never understand how anyone can take a GOTY award seriously when the year isn't over.

I would like to see some Ori: Will of the Wisps, Ghost of Tsushima, Wasteland 3 prices and obviously Doom Eternal. I am pre-loaded, but cannot evaluate Cyberpunk 2077 obviously, even tho on those sites mentioned by ethomaz ethomaz are already there.

CyberPunk 2077 escaped the face-off, now they'll deal with Horizon Forbidden West and God of War: Ragnarok. Seems like an even much higher peak that if CDPR try to look at it they might snap their neck.

TLOU2 will sweep as it should, truly fantastic game. And a game that stays with you.

Even the haters can't stop talking about it lol.

God of War will not be out by then just saying. Cyberpunk will have a very good chance next year imo

If not, then it has a good chance, but Horizon Forbidden West won't be easy to beat. GOW is just too overpowered though, and rumors say that gameplay was ready to be shown but they held it back due to the Craig fiasco.

Most years you have to go up against a previously winning franchise. I get it BOTW2 will be a big deal but I'm also sceptical for that to be next year and Cyberpunk will also have the wider audience being a multiplat so you never know
