Never too crazy to buy 2 copy.
I really want to buy 2 copies to support them GR1 is my GOTY for last year

I don't think anyone knows at this point. There's certainly been no hints of another entry or different protagonist though, just a promise that they will answer questions.
You certainly raise some very good points. I guess we'll see soon enoughWell, the first time she sees Syd after the dream is about a minute before shit goes down during the final boss battle. But more broadly, she thinks it was just a weird dream. Or maybe she wants to ignore the possibility that Syd was Alias. I can't think of anyone else it could've been under the mask. And there's too much foreshadowing that it's Syd.
And yeah, the gem plan was Syd's. And it played into Alias's hands rather perfectly. Plus, during the second gem heist Syd mentions that there was a leak in the force the first time, which he uses as an explanation. But nobody but him and Kat knew about the plan. And even though only he, Chaz, and Bulbosa know about the second switch, Alias still finds out. There's one thing in common here, and that's Syd. His explanations don't hold up to any kind of scrutiny.
That's one possibility. I think, however, that Syd knows more than he lets on, and that at least some of his goofy cop shtick is a front. In the final Gravity Days comic, he shows up at a confrontation between Raven and Yunica (which canonically happens while Kat is in the Inferno rift plane) pretending to be drunk, and breaks up their fight.
That doesn't mean that he's just been lying to us, though. Alias never actually hurt Kat. In the end, he did steal the sacred gems but he also pushed Kat to assume the role of a hero as well. In the dream, his actions even resulted in her being able to summon Dusty's panther form. What if Syd/Alias was serving as the villain to Kat's hero the whole time? He does say that she's exceeded his expectations, and that something's coming that she needs to be prepared for.
Whether or not any of that ends up being true, I think we can safely say that Syd has Kat's best interests at heart. When she's frozen by Yunica and the military, he's the one who rescues her. And she never even finds out what he did.
So this will be the final Gravity Rush game or have they hinted that they'll be a new GR game with new characters/setting? Someone mentioned earlier that this is Kat's closing story?
I've been feeling that open world fatigue for years. But i have a thing for open world games with unique traversal. Games like infamou and prototype.
I'm not into anime (and waifus), but i find the visuals in gravity rush very appealing. It's so different from what i'm used to see in open world games.
Well, one thing I hope for the second is that not every mystery gets resolved and they give more clues instead of a clear solution (like Dark Souls series).
Anyway, it doesn't make much sense to say "if you're spamming special attacks or gravity kicks, you're playing the game wrong", because if people are doing this, then the game is failling to tell them that they are doing the wrong thing. Honestly, I wished the game punished the player more for making the wrong movements, though there's not much move variety (or at least the game doesn't teach the player).
It was quite fustrating dealing with these swordfish-type nevi, for example, because they were quite fast and bullet sponge lol and missing gravity kicks is quite annoying since you have to readjust the camera e aim again. IMO, the game battle mechanics is more fun when fighting on ground, since Kat doesn't get displaced easily, though I wish her attacks had more impact on enemy (aka interrupting their attacks sometimes or more damage), though that would need a difficulty adjustement because the game itself is really easy.
Nah, but I would expect the typical 10AM EST.Sooo, reviews shoulld be out tomorrow, but anyone knows the time the embargo ends?
I adored the first Gravity Rush, and I'm torn on whether or not to buy 2. On one hand, I want support Sony for actually making this game. I never thought Gravity Rush would get a sequel and just the fact that it's getting one is a blessing.
However, having played the demo, it definitely feels like an instance of "more of the same". While I generally shouldn't complain about getting more Gravity Rush, I don't know if just doing more of the same stuff in a prettier setting is worth my $60.
I still have to believe that there's "new" stuff to be done in Gravity Rush 2 and gameplay elements that I haven't already seen before I'm really ready to commit myself to buying this game.
Good. Don't let humansarehorses get to you. I think he's hurting the game by making personal attacks on people who criticize it. One of the things I like about the game is the lighthearted and generally positive community of players around it.
I love the game but it's easy for me to acknowledge that it has flaws. It doesn't do a good job of explaining the move sets to players, and the story is a bit of a mess. Hopefully the sequel will explain things better. Personally, I didn't mind the story issues, because I wasn't taking any of it seriously. I was just going along for the ride, having fun.
This is not meant to be offensive, but your avatar is a character from a game where you do the same thing over and over again (I say this as someone who loves the game). More of the same from a game that you adored doesn't sound like a bad thing.
Did you try the experienced course? It already showed something different there (the two different styles).I understand what you're saying about Overwatch, but the scenario can change from battle to battle and one of the main points of Overwatch is adapting to your opponents. My main is probably Zarya, but not every situation calls for a Zarya. I might help the team out more as Pharah if we need more long-range damage or Mercy if we need a healer. You're really only doing the same thing over and over if you either have a "perfect" team or you haven't taken a chance learning a 2nd character.
With Gravity Rush, I've already spent 20+ hours shifting gravity, doing flying kicks, throwing objects around and fighting plenty of Nevi. In the Gravity Rush 2 demo, I did all of the things I've already done for hours over again in a city that looks very much the same, fighting the exact same enemies I've fought plenty of times. The only thing I've seen different in Gravity Rush 2 is the city it takes place in, which still feels extremely similar to the first game.
If they made an Overwatch 2 with all of the same characters, same abilities and same modes but with some new maps, I probably wouldn't pay full price for that either.

It's the 10th, in how many hours should I expect reviews?

Thanks, checking GAF today I anticipated more futile discussion with humansarehorses but it's good to hear that I'm not alone in my thoughts that it's not okay or pleasant to attack people for their views on here. It's a really horrible discussion to have to have and I should have stuck by my word when I said that I was not going to reply to him.
Maybe around 10am EST tomorrow? Not entirely sure.
GR got an 83 meta on Vita and the remaster got an 80 on PS4. With the improvements overall, I think GR2 can hit ~85 meta.Oh wow, the review embargo is over tomorrow, and we'll be getting reviews? Very cool. I didn't realize that. I'll probably avoid reading the reviews, but I'll be interested in the scores. I'll guess it averages in the 7.5 to 8.0 range.
Sooo, reviews shoulld be out tomorrow, but anyone knows the time the embargo ends?
Yeah, people been getting review copies over the last few days.Wait. Already?! God damn people got the game so soon? Hope it's good...
