Was it actually "disabled" or is it just incompatible with the new update?
Probably the latter. Couple of txt files appeared in the game directory saying incompatible version or something.

Is it also inherently 'fighting' if they don't deliberately go out of their way to make sure something they didn't author stays compatible? Because that's what we need, more reasons for them to be less inclined to update the game.
Yup, pre-update my cpu usage while driving through city would rise up to 100% and then stuttering occurred. Now with the same settings cpu usage was somewhere around 65% and no stuttering.New PC patch (Steam version) seems to have fixed my stuttering issues, thank God!
Anyone else suffering lag in the map after the latest patch?
Oh, Rockstar.
Game's been getting positive press due to mods, so of course they'd be cunts and fight against them.

Yes I am experiencing the same problem. My frame rate drops significantly to 6fps, shoots up to 176fps then goes back down to 6fps when I press the start button to view the map. Huge stuttering/lag. Cant even zoom in the map or switch tabs. As soon as I go back in game everything goes back to normal.
Game crashes on startup after latest patch, great.
Edit: Seems it didn't start when i had radenpro running in the background (thought radeonpro setting were only enabled if you started the game through the program, but apparently not)
What are you guys using to track your FPS?

If you are already using Steam and you don't want to use any other 3rd party applications, you can enable the FPS counter in Steam.
If an Ati/AMD user?

Game is performing way worse for me with the new patch. Constant frame dips / stutter, sometimes just spinning the camera around, but mostly while driving. Extremely distracting.
Now with that new patch I got my first BSOD, is it just me or is it getting worse?
Weird, I restarted the game and the stutter was gone. Not sure what the issue is. Hopefully not something random and it will be back when I jump back in.
Overall performance seems better too.

For 980GTX SLI users, did the new patch improved your framerates or performance?
No, I don't.
I'll test tonight. 3xSLI here.
Still the timing is quite strange, I played 30 hours pre patch and no problem whatsoever except for a crash or two. But now 30 min post patch and I get a BSOD? I'll try to play more to see if it happens again, but if it does I don't think my pc would be at fault. The game should not be able to cause a BSOD on it's own. That is a sign of some other underlying issue.
You should check what caused the issue using BlueScreenView i.e.Still the timing is quite strange, I played 30 hours pre patch and no problem whatsoever except for a crash or two. Someone logged into my account, leveled my online character up, changed my social club name, and spent all my money...yay. I was able to reset my password but Rockstar support hasn't gotten back with yet. 5 days and counting.
So a new GTA V patch is out (350.1), and people are reporting supposedly better/smoother performance with fewer dropped frames or stuttering when driving fast. Anyone have a chance to test it out?
The MSAA artifact bug still hasn't been resolved. Poop
Are you talking about transparent grass, or something else?
