After playing 60-144 fps on PC I seem to be sensitive to lower frames, Example: Playing Bloodborne on my PS4 seems like it jitters everywhere.
bloodborne has problems with frame times iirc

Wait they're still charging $60 for this? No one else is angry at this price? Cause I think $60 for a 20 month old game is stretching it
It's a big nvidia title. They've been pimping it all over geforce.com...there's no way this won't have a proper sli profile.
That's not that simple I'm afraid. Some engines don't play nice with multiple GPU and there is nigh Nvidia can do about that.
You should still notice it though. Whole reason companies pushed that whole 120hz feature for tvs.
Considering both current consoles are just tweaked x86 machines, I have hope that Rockstar will have their shit together way more than they did with IV.
Well, the draw distance seems to be higher, as it should be. Granted, those are all likely pre rendered screens, and we have no idea how it will run at those settings. Also nyeh.-snip-
Wait....
Are some people here complaining that the game runs to smooth?

Dries has v-sync disabled so he would be seeing tearing instead of judder as the frames are still being pushed out at a consistent rate. My best guess for why he doesn't notice tearing is if he's got a 120hz+ monitor. Playing un-synced 45 frames on higher refresh monitors diminishes the screen tearing you see compared to if you just play it on a 60hz monitor.
Is your monitor's refresh rate 120hz+? Screen tearing wouldn't be as apparent in that case but it's still there.
Looks good but character models look so last gen/cartoony now, kinda bringing the whole thing down.
60 fps is delicious though and making me considering triple dipping :/
Alot of people dont mind it though. Like when they watch 24fps movies on their 60hz computer monitor.
Im not comparing 24fps movies to 24fps games. Im talking about the 3:2 pulldown that most people dont mind when looking at 24fps movies on 60hz tvs/monitors.a 24 fps movie has motion blur, which makes it look perfectly smooth and natural. And no, not the motion blur that games use. That's a crappy looking bandaid on the low fps wound. Movies don't follow the same rules. If you were able to take video of something with absolutely no blur, it would look unnatural at such a low framerate. likewise, if you were to take a high framerate video of something with the same amount of motion blurring at a normal camera, then it would look just as unnatural.

60 fps looks good, as is to be expected. I really hope this is a good port, but I won't be surprised at all if it isn't.

i'm not against 60. Just some games should have it, some shouldnt (just my opinion)
and the difference between 30 and 60 for reaction times is so slim it doesnt even matter to most people.
The notion that 30fps is somehow more 'realistic' than 60 is comedy
The whole art direction of the game is cartoony though. It fits.
The game always had a cartoony vibe it's pretty iconic to the series. The series plays on reality but keeps a very surreal cynical edge to it.
Rockstar I'm waiting for my lightning gun and proper rampages.

I'm hoping AMD has their shit together and will release their profile by release.
I just spent 30 minutes last night listening to The Black Guy Who Tips while rubberbanding my PS4 controller with Michael in the desert, yelling KIFFLOM
I'm going to have to do this all over again, aren't I
so whats the cheapest way you can get this game atm without some goofy vpn business?
See it for $47 at GMG.Anywhere cheaper?
Well, I just booted up some games to see if I could notice the judder and stutter @ 45fps you guys are talking about... but I just couldn't see it... Sorry guys :-/
It's pretty easy to understand even though I would disagree, some people are just used to a lower frame rate, it's that simple, although I very much prefer 60fps in games I couldn't watch the Hobbit in 48fps at all.
Anyway I'm pretty confident my old 2500k @ 4.4ghz + 980 should be enough to run this smoothly.

Hey I am a PC gamer (to a degree) and I find 60FPS to feel a bit "fast forward" in cut scenes. in gameplay its different because it makes you feel like you have finer control. But n cut scenes it's still weird to me.
Just FYI, if you care about it being on Steam, you don't get a Steam copy anywhere but directly from Steam.
I'd recommend keeping track of GMG. They've discounted this multiple times, and often at less than what it is now.
Humans can only see 15fps per-eyeball in real life, but that's only if you have 50 inches and above.

Good news.Seem to remember AndyBNV saying this would have SLI support out of the gate.
Good question. Nothing springs to mind right now.Has their been a nvidia gameworks game that didn't get proper sli support? Not being a smartass I honestly don't know.
get the fuck outta here, that's GTAIV?wait for the mods
this is what GTA4 looksl ike with mods https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNyYfaKLHv8
As expected, looks so damn good.
