Haven't played this game in a while. I want to start again from the beginning.
I really wish this game had like a sandbox mode... let me start in any city with any characters and completely ignore the story. Something about the intro story and character voicing really turns me off from a RP perspective.

The characters that have actual "armor" outfits and all that. Because some of them have armor with the default WvW armor skin on them and I've never bothered to do anything about it.
Reset still hasn't happened. Damn.
well you'll have to close your eyes and plug your ears for the intro quest but you can get to whatever city you want before hitting level 3

Some of the designs are absurd in how hard they try to work in some kind of sex appeal where it doesn't belong. Look, I've got nothing against "sexy" armor designs, but not every piece of armor in the world should be designed to be sultry in some way.

I would have taken a screenshot of the epic entourage I had escorting me through the final hurdle at karka rush, but I died so many times right near the end that I didn't want to screw it up. So here's a picture of one of the screw ups instead

You can do that. Couple of my characters never touched the storyline. Go into the home city, take the LA portal, go to where ever. Smack monsters of choice.
RPing with this game is weird. Its mostly a bunch of creepy Sylvari sexting in the Grove.

I think you're thinking of Divinity's Reach. That place can be creepy if you're on the right server. Or is it no longer like that? That was before mega servers.
I've seen rp in the black citadel, divinitys reach, and lion's arch since the megaservers. outside of the romance/awkward sexual stuff I really don't mind it, it's like extra npc conversations when I visit the cities.

My gathering run dumps me off in the Grove for the home instance. Some of the stuff i've seen was freaky. But then when a giant Charr shows up and starts beating a drum they usually go away.

OK, good! I just saw other dyes in there and thought we still needed to give them out.
That challenge tonight was awesome.
Hardcore RPer's are just the craziest. I remember one guy wrote a 3 or 4 page biography and origin story for his character (a monk or something) and only lived off in mountain areas of the game and stuff. He also only went to cities at time of need like buying new clothes and food from those trivial merchants in LA that sold them.

I remember seeing someone in guild chat yesterday say warriors are "meh" in fractals, but (not counting the team that only had 4 people) the team that did worst was the team with no warriors.
Both teams in the finals had two warriors each.

Warrior's absolutely own at Pve and fractals are an extension of that.
So i am left scrathing my head as to why they would be meh ?
