People leave companies (especially gaming companies) all the time, people love to read shit into it.
Yeah, just got up and we're second by about 600 points, and coming after DR (about 2400 behind) at 330 PPT. It'll be like this most of the day until 2 or 3pm on the East Coast and won't recover until well after 9pm. In that time everything gets papered and the small gains we make during the day are brushed away by 500 PPT pushes.
I've said it before; our OCX and SEA groups are keeping SBI on life support and they're gonna bail if the US afternoon / evening groups are content to lose Tier 3 stuff in our Borderlands because the K-Train is running in EB.
so... what fucks up is the US shift?

At one point this morning, KIWI had basically flipped DR BL completely red while Gunbash lead the Karma Train to push DR completely off EBG. At one point they were ticking for 50.
Folks seemed to start to disappear around 10am EDT, but even at that point we had held DR's keeps with little resistance. Hills was almost Reinforced when I left, but looking at it now it looks like DR flipped it just after I left. After I made a point of telling people to scout it.
Really, if we had scouts to sit on stuff, nothing would ever flip like that. One person can drop ACs and build them up, escort yaks and call for help. Better they call and no one come than a havoc squad be able to roll in with a single ram unopposed and take a keep. That's amateur hour BS.
Looks like we're maybe 4000 points ahead. It was a good morning, very exciting, but as the day goes on DR and NSP are going to nibble at the edges and by dinner time flip SBI BL completely. We've gone from having no overnight /early morning coverage to having no daytime / primetime NA coverage. Silly.

Is there reason to believe that the other two servers aren't equally frustrated with the flippage?
Way you say it, seems that they'd be suffering from the exact same issues, but in reverse. Especially since Sbi went from being 2k behind after weekend to 4k ahead midweek.

Leaving a company after such a long term is standard especially in an industry where getting a major raise is usually the result of switching jobs.
Oh, I'm sure they're absolutely pissed in the same way we are. After all, this morning while running around on DR BL, we were taking down Tier 3 stuff. They do the same to us. In a perfect world, coverage wouldn't make a difference and the team that fought / defended better would win, instead of the server that is best able to cover all shifts.
That said, this matchup has been extremely close the whole time, and I'll take this kind of week over the "Shutout-by-Sunday" Bullshit where one server is so far ahead by the end of the weekend that catching up is impossible. This has been a great week for WvW despite the complaints. The back and forth just needs to happen less because of the time of day. In 24 hour matchups, it's the nature of the beast. We just need NA to pick up earlier or EU to come in stronger since it seems pretty obvious that things turn to shit as Asia goes to bed.

Seems like the shutout by sunday thing would be easily solvable with a diminishing returns system placed on whoever is in first place, and somewhat less agressively on whoever is in second.
Or just hardlock a max advantage of whatever is the max number of points you can get in one or two days from first to third.

The problem is purely coverage; Ol' Steelball Isles easily outfights and outmaneuvers both DR and NSP, even when the odds are against them (probably owing to the legacy of all the "good fight" guilds that a lot of people learned WvW from). It's rare that I see one of our zergs get outplayed in the way SBI slices through and blows apart zergs from the inside out, scattering them. Yak's Bend can do it sometimes, but more often than not they just hide and siege (which certainly works for them, and I wish SBI could at least try to learn from it). So, at least we have that....
But yeah... coverage. Which in turn leads to morale issues.
Been in there all day for the last two, not today though. Did notice we were having a WvW commanders meeting at a questionable time today.

I've been playing since release (plus BWEs) and I am an insane altoholic with 45 characters.

Edit: Lump if you ever see this, they've been complaining about the lack of +5 ALL NIGHT on your garrison claim.
Edit 2: As of right now all the siege in NE tower is still intact. I'm sleeping so I'll find out if the tower is still ours later on.
