Tashi, how did and do you feel about Reach? I don't really know you so I don't know what your perspective is on Halo games.

I'll talk stock Reach to make it a fair comparison even though I only play MLG anymore. I like bloom, I think it works. If I had to choose, I would choose no bloom because from a spectator's POV, it's more enjoyable. I love what Sprint allows me to do with the map. I think that armor abilities would have been better off as pick ups. The maps are largely underwhelming, even the DLC ones. Anniversary map pack is solid though. I like Jetpack but again, as a pickup.

So basically I don't like stock Reach but I also didn't care for stock Halo 3. I played mainly MLG for both games and absolutely love those settings for both games. More so in Reach because of the DMR and netcode.

TOS don't actually override consumer law though, there is no law against putting illegal terms in a contract. He would probably need to challenge it at a small claims court though, which is a massive hassle and not at all worth it.

Well contracts a contract, he agrees to it by paying for it. No sympathy for uploading Halo 4 videos either. Not only is it all leaked, there's also the clause about uploading stuff for monetary gain, and I assume a lot of these Halo 4 videos are getting a lot of views.

I have no sympathy for the guy (in fact I approve of the tough justice), I'm just surprised that he can by banned on LIVE for shenanigans elsewhere. Could someone be banned from Live for posting story spoilers on Twitter or Facebook?

Maybe in Slayer Pro settings the BR will be a viable alternative to the DMR? People talk about the lower aim-assist on the DMR, but that wouldn't be any issue for the average Halo vet i would think, at least at default movement speed which appears to be as slow as Reach/3.

Following the official revelation of the Halo 4 ‘season pass’ for downloadable content (DLC), known as the War Games Map Pass, Microsoft Studios has today released a retail package designed specifically to promote the upcoming videogame add-ons. Halo 4 is set for release next month, but eager fans can purchase the branded Microsoft Points package from today.

The War Games Map Pass for Halo 4 will give players access to three upcoming multiplayer map packs, with each containing three maps each for a total of nine maps. Also included are three unique in-game items – the Spartan-IV “Scanner” and “Strider” helmets and the “Falcon” in-game emblem. The War Games Map Pass is priced at 2000 Microsoft Points which, according to Microsoft Studios, represents a fifteen percent saving from the cost of purchasing the three map packs individually. I'd hope the Season Pass includes future (?) helmets beyond the initial two like I would expect a Season Pass to cover. That would make it seem much more like a Season Pass as it currently just sounds like a large map pack with 2 helmets and an emblem thrown in, IMO.

But all this is just me guessing though so hopefully I'm wrong.

Apparently from reading further in the thread, Microsoft took his youtube accounts email address and cross checked it with the Xbox Live Database then banned the resulting account

After talking with support my XBL account was automatically banned because my email account was linked to the Youtube channel that had a copyright Halo 4 video on it. There is apparently a bot of some sort that is scanning and flagging all videos then linking the email to gamer tags and banning them automatically. It sounds like my account is going to be reinstated but they said it could be up to 3 weeks due to the amount of traffic they have had today alone.
Support confirmed that my XBL account has 0 Halo 4 data on it and that it is a pre-preemptive measure Microsoft is taking to more/less prove a point. They sounded very positive that my account will be reactivated in due time based on what they have seen on my account.
They have absolutely no evidence what so ever that it was me to answer your question. All of these ignorant post in here about me having my gamertag in there is just stupid and obviously did not see the video. Every person in that lobby had a name they had created just for that day during the system-link play.

The Limited Edition has been a weird rollercoaster of nebulous facts and understanding.

If I want FUD on Blu-Ray because it'll have commentaries, should I just cancel my pre-order and pre-order the limited edition? Because I get skins and specialisations through that anyway.

Edit: Eh, I won't cancel it. I still want the case and fiction "pamphlet". I just want to voice the fact that previous LE/Legendary's felt more like a complete package, where the fans who be buying it were given more consideration.

I wouldn't worry about getting spoiled too much, at least 50% of the endings are going to be fake anyway. I remember being "spoiled" about the halo 3 ending multiple times: apart from Johnson dying, nothing was correct and I had read so many contradicting spoilers that, by the time the game was here, my expectations were a blank slate again.
