I've got friends who I know as soon as Halo 4 is out will be straight in custom games with everything turned off and just DMRs. Seriously, just go play Reach.
They've already been complaining that there aren't any small maps.
I thought I told you. I bailed out of a Dallas a while ago. Just wasn't in the cards financially. :/
Still isn't good enough. Even with game chat at 10 and game volume at 1 chat gets overpowered by the game.
I think the textures just look quirky with the lighting going on, but in something like this it makes everything look very solid coloured and plain.
Turn your TV down. VOILA
Do you have any friends named Kyle(j)?
I may have missed it, but I know there was some chat about Theater... was it ever revealed if we can have parties of 4 viewing a video at the same time again?
Well, part of the Grifball thing was using the Hammer to change direction, so it might just be that or maybe explosive weapons.
This is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've read today, and mind you I read that Halo 4 will not have Campaign Theatre.
err.... I think you guys are forgetting that Forge has better lighting...
I don't remember anyone ever saying flag juggling is for fun, it's a skill.
Nope. It is one person only again.
If Oddball was a game of delivery or if you couldn't toss it very far, but this is really just a strawman.
The DMR sounds more like a cannon than a gun.
Did anyone confirm auto pickup? I thought someone was speculating and someone else just shot it down.

I don't know why people are freaking out about the armor in the RvB vid. Something's clearly up because it's never looked like that any other time.
LOL - if that's the case... just... sighhhhh. Awful.
Flag is auto-pickup.
Oddball is auto-pickup.
Not confirmed, but all leaked sources say there's no way of turning this off in Customs.

You forgot to mention the magnets. It's a really amazing feature.err.... I think you guys are forgetting that Forge has better lighting...
Does that mean tossing the oddball at someone shooting you will make them auto pick up? That would be pretty awesome, IMO.Oddball is auto-pickup.
Oddball will become a crazy strategic game with the additions they have made , it will be a nightmare in doubles
Flag is auto-pickup.
Oddball is auto-pickup.
These are confirmed by 343.
All leaked sources say there's no way of turning this off in Customs. This hasn't been OFFICIALLY confirmed by 343. We also know from leaks that there is no way of making classic CTF in customs. If this was horseshit I feel Frankie or Ellis would have said something.
Yup. I'm pretty sure Tashi said he already did that in his playtime during NYCC.Does that mean tossing the oddball at someone shooting you will make them auto pick up? That would be pretty awesome, IMO.

I want to make a hot potato variant. 10 seconds till it blows up and have to keep passing it. Last one alive wins.
Oddball's got an Auto-Pickup toggle, I'm almost 100% sure. I'd have to check the notes I made watching a streamer going through the options, but I distinctly remember that one. I think it also has a Carrier Waypoint setting, which CTF also has, so at least that can be toggled to make New CTF more palatable to folks like me. Auto-pickup in CTF doesn't have a toggle, though, so that's something.Flag is auto-pickup.

I'm holding a flaming blue skull bowling ball in my right hand, no weapon in my left, yet 343 thinks I'm such a fucking moron that I need to be berated by an announcer AND have constant text at the top of the screen telling me that yes, I do indeed have the ball. By the taint of the gods, that's some unnecessary shit.
Only if you have three other people in your mancave.I may have missed it, but I know there was some chat about Theater... was it ever revealed if we can have parties of 4 viewing a video at the same time again?

So...
YOU HAVE THE BALL +10
BALL THROWN +10
BALL CARRIER +10

Is any better?
Dat typo!
Technically, I have played Halo 4. Not Oddball, though. So I'm partially wrong, which is normal for me.You haven't played it yet so your comments are wrong.
I thought Frankie said that you needed to press a button to pick up the tossed ball.

It's funny you mention that. Didn't Ram use that as an argument as to why we shouldn't be annoyed by the new "announcer on speed" feature?Halo needs to evolve (CE, right?) and part of 343's design philosophy here seems to be focusing on choice few game types and really making them work well. From the impressions I've read and the footage I've seen, Halo 4 is a lot more fun than previous iterations. If that's at the sacrifice of customization, so be it. If you miss the old games, play them! You can drop flags to your heart's content. I won't be the first to say that flag juggling was more obnoxious than it was fun or "deep".

Yeah, it's got its own upsides, but dealing with the autopickup in combination with not being able to drop it (the flag) and use the rockets in my pocket, and the waypoint over my head screaming at the entire enemy team to come kill me kind of makes me hate the entire idea. The upshot here is I'll no longer struggle to pick-up the Oddball or flag. Had that issue in Reach last night and it cost me.

I'm here to remind everyone that we have to assemble a day 1 full party boosting group to form a circle and throw the ball to each other for the duration of an entire round. With double XP we'll be at 50 in no time.
Did we cause all this by ignoring the objective and slaying kids all day in Unlimited Slayer Objective?

We've been absolutely floored by the support that you have all come forth with. We hoped that the project would be received well, and your donations have far exceeded our best expectations!
