She's coming back to life. Very slowly, but it's happening. Rattled off quite a few great MM games today. Finished with Team BRs on High Ground H3... god damn Halo 3 looks and feels so damn good. Net-code is perfect, framerate is locked... so nice to have my favorite Halo MP on the Xbone.

There is still a lot that's broken. Doing anything with a party other than customs is pretty fucked up still, games will start with uneven numbers and even numbered games will still match uneven teams. But we are playing matches and that's an improvement.

Are they deploying hot fixes tomorrow?

I think one of my strangest (and almost proudest) accomplishments in Halo 2 OG was to get five marines from one end of Gravemind to the other on Legendary.

I still teamkill the Halo CE marines on the mission Halo; CE marines aren't worth saving.

Oh boy ... completed Halo CE and did the first three missions of Halo 2. So far I am really disappointed by the H2 remake, the cutscenes are great but the actual game looks worse than Halo CE Anniversary.

Crazy fun customs tonight, guys, seriously. Had about 10 people at our biggest tonight which was only about 40 minutes ago but now it;s time to turn in for the night. I think even 343i know that the H2A SP is not that great. Its probably the whole reason why they had the custscenes re-done. The cut scenes almost make up for it tho. Almost.

The first secret custscene with the Arbiters new armour, unnff.

Wtf? There are a million stores nearby that sell the game. "Hi I bought this game, but it's been a huge mess, nothing is working, it's been 3 days I can't get matches and I want to return it" "Oh we're sorry to hear that, we heard about some problems, we'd be happy to refund your purchase blah blah".

Then, you take your cash home, wait 2 weeks or however long it takes, and then go to another store or even back to the same store. I highly doubt anyone will recognize you.

I'm not saying I'll trade in my game either, but for those who want to, it seems like a viable option to get a refund and purchase when it's working again.

That shouldn't happen, the geometry should be pretty much identical... So you have an upgrade in a way :)

Only had a short time to play tonight; but I got into 4 matches within a minute or two in matchmaking, much faster than it was last night. Got into 2 matches into the H2A Team playlist and 2 in the Big Team playlist.

I was partied up with a friend, and it only managed to put us on separate teams once. I got stuck at a loading screen once after the match was over and had to quit out of the game. It's too bad that the game has so many glaring issues, but it's definitely better than it was yesterday for me. When I do get into matches though, the game works great in terms of connectivity and lag and stuff. Every game I've actually have gotten into has felt solid.

Gonna take some time for me to get back in the hang of things though. Shit these first few games have been humbling. I've been getting destroyed constantly. I thought I used to be decent at this game, but I think I'm just so used to doing the ADS shit in recent FPS's, I'm used to that slowed down movement of the aim reticle. I've been over shooting my aim constantly. Been having a good time regardless when it works though. Here's to hoping they get everything sorted out for the weekend.

Really? It was an awesome match!

Overall the experience has improved, greatly. Constantly getting into matches in different playlists (Swat, H3. H2A). Trouble persists after the games, just now it froze and kicked me out of MCC entirely.


But yeah, I am having a blast now.

Honestly if it's 4v3 Slayer I think I'd rather be on the short handed team because my team could theoretically get points faster than the other team

Out of sheer curiosity, was it a pretty uneven match? I just got my ass kicked on High Ground, the other team had control of all the power weapons and the ghost.

Probably down to 15fps.

Unbelievable, I hope it was just lag.

After about 10 attempts, still haven't had a single MM game.

If you're facing a well coordinated team I doubt that missing 4th person is going to matter.

On that same note, if the 3 person team is coordinated and the 4 person team isn't the 4 person team is likely going to get rekt

and you have to assume that the people who are still trying to play are probably die hard Halo fans and fairly good at the game. Which makes the unbalanced teams even more unfair.

Well yeah, but it's usually harder for the smaller team to get advantage of coordination, it mainly turns into hide and seek unless you're the desperate rambo mofo type of player. (Not refferig to you, just, in general)

some player immediately grabs the ghost or whatever it's called and proceeds to annihilate everyone with 0 deaths.

Yep, at this point most casual FPS gamers are hopping into AW, I mean, the stuff those guys I mentioned before pulled on High Ground were not your typical casual players. They outnumbered us even though we were 3v3, outpaced us to weapon respawns and the active cammo/overshield spawns. It was really nice to watch, but not to play.

If h2a is at lower res because of running two engines, how come halo ce isn't also lower res? CE also lets me do instant engine switch. Is it just the remaster engine being more demanding in h2a?

CEA is using 360 assets 720p textures upscaled to 1080p and it still drops frames. So yes CEA is less demanding but it still isn't perfect.

I just did a Team Slayer match in the game. The map "Wizard" was selected. However the graphics were the original Halo 1 graphics. The HUD was really weird (different from any of the halos), and whenenver I shot someone it made robot sounds. Uploading clip now cause I have no idea what the fuck just happened.

edit: I'm an idiot. Apparently it's the standard PC version of CE running.

You were playing Halo CE. The sounds are hit markers from the PC version.

It got no visual upgrade

Wizard is a CE map. You were playing CE.

HUD is CEA campaign HUD and sounds are from Halo CE PC which is what the MP is based off of.

Been playing the Halo 2 campaign and having a lot of fun. Glad MP is on my back burner. By the time I get around to it the matchmaking and online bugs will probably be fixed.

How are people doing with the achievements? 343 acknowledged they are having problems. I am afraid to start the campaign until its been fixed.

Only managed to get in to 3 games of H2A multi (after trying all day to get in to matches) , and after each match, the game froze up completely, leaving me to reboot the whole game. Are these freezes common at the momen?

All new ones I got today unlocked, but the ones I did the past two days show that they're done but say Completed... Unlocking and don't do anything.
