You have no idea what you're talking about.

This is a quote directly from 343 about the patch.

We have identified that our 11.12 morning server-side update has improved matchmaking times for many users, while others are still seeing longer than expected times.

This evening we plan to deploy additional server updates that will improve searching times and increase the likelihood of players finding games. The update will allow more players to enter matches, which may result in larger team sizes (5v5 instead of 4v4, for example). Occasionally, this may result in uneven teams, and we continue to work on this issue.

shut the fuck up kindly.

I'm now finding Halo 2 Anniversary matches within a minute or two. Fully stocked. Just played Lockdown. So good! Still getting booted to the main menu after each match, though.

At the risk of getting run off the Internet, how is the sp campaigns working?

I only ever played Halo games offline (started with 3 then played ODST, Halo Wars, Reach, 4 and Spartan Assault).

I was going to get this to play through CE, 2 and then replay 3&4 before 5 comes out. Any issues atm with the single player campaigns outside of the odd fram drops?

MM is the real issue right now, most other stuff is playable and just needs fixed with a patch.

I agree MM is the real issue and can understand them merging 4 games into one isn't easy, but the other stuff some can be as little as achievements not showing up or as big as save files being deleted or game not saving. Things on the single player side like that shouldn't happen. Wasn't this play tested? Obviously it was rushed out before it was ready and there in lies my point. Don't release until its ready.

Only achievement unlocks I believe, offline is fine.

Some people are experiencing problems but I haven't encountered any myself yet.

I've encountered a few little tiny bugs here and there that aren't game breaking or anything. Some people have achievements not unlocking, I haven't had any issues with that. All the campaigns seem to be working great.

so would people say this a better experience than just playing the games on 360?

is the online co-op for all halo games done with matchmaking?

The way you worded your post with "hacking" is what I'm referring to.

What they're doing is a hack, they're not fixing the issue they're merely diverting the flow of the problem on to another part of the game, that is a hack and not a fix.

If you like I will go into a lot more detail on what is a fix/patch and what defines a hack...

Ok, so I can safely say that things are better today. They aren't necessarily great, but damn it are they way better than the start.

Edit: True story, as I was typing that, it kicked me to the dashboard, lol

I can't wait for a few years down the line when people start leaking details about the development of this game

LOL at the Hyperbole overload. When 7 different studios work on a game sometimes thing don't come together as planned. Some of you guys are acting like this game launched in September...not 3 days ago.

Thank you. That's good to know. Hopefully the get the MM/online working with the weekend patch.

Every developer does this, including Sony studios.

MCC just needs to fix MM and the game will mostly be fixed for everyone.

I think, including your other posts, you're being too lax and generous.

The cost of entry is already high (not to mention sub fees), so people should have and do have every right to complain or return a product that is not as advertised.

The MP component is broken and the single player and coop campaigns are full of glitches, bugs (not to mention game freezes, crashes) etc, at what point did it become okay/normal to accept this considering the cost of entry?

"Every developer does this" doesn't make it acceptable, and neither does "trust them guys, give them time, it's cool for them ship broken games and fix it later".

MM is the real issue right now, most other stuff is playable and just needs fixed with a patch

Again, just read what you've written. It's pathetic.

That isn't hacking they are opening the restrictions on matchmaking to help ease the problem while working on the fix.

I see the campaigns themselves being worth $60 it would be one thing if this was a $100 collection. I'm lax because of two things, the value of this game and that I know these problems will be fixed soon enough.

How is that pathetic? He asked a question and I gave him the answer.

No one said it's cool to ship broken games but this is also not a normal game, a game not working right at launch benefits no one.

LOL

Hack:
informal
an act of computer hacking.
"the challenge of the hack itself"
a piece of computer code providing a quick or inelegant solution to a particular problem.

With all honesty, even though I didnt want to admit it, my biggest worry is not about it being fixed till the weekend... Yeah, I think that this ia very important, and I will be frustrated if they dont.

However, my biggest problem with it is the fear of it to take way too long to get fixed, if it ever does!

I was talking to a friend yesterday and he said that Gears 2 on the X360 never had the MP fixed and that was a pain to find a match.

I just want it to be fixed for real, and, even if it takes longer then this weekend, that we will be able to play it properly.

Way too good of a collection to get wasted like this.

I hate spawning and being a target to everyone on the other team from the jump.

And this. BRs ringing off for 15 minutes.

Holy shit, the point is that you have an immediate answer. Without BR spawns, if one team takes map control with power weapons and BRs and the other team continually spawns with SMGs, the game might as well not be played.

Whatever you find fun is on you, but I'd prefer even terms and competitive matches over one team being rendered helpless every time.

Smg and are gameplay is so boring.

Just point in general direction and hold trigger. No headshots, no strafe...

Smg starts make you more vulnerable at spawn since the other team can have brs or rockets or sniper as you are defenseless with an ar or smg.

Just out of curiosity, how many people are actually effected by the achievment glitches?

I ask because I have not been having any issues at all (except possibly the one for getting music to trigger, though I may be doing that in the wrong game). I am at 40 something achievments down already.

I had issues the first day. But none since.

Are you singling out Reach because it's the only bad Halo in the background? Halo 3 ODST and Halo Wars isn't in the MCC either and they are in that stack.

Nah I just only noticed reach to be honest.

I wish all the games were in the collection, but judging by the fact they had 4 and it's this big a mess adding another 3 would be suicidal.....

Me. I'm at 37, but many more haven't triggered. Mainly level completion stuff.

Got a total of 3 matches last night. Each one was dominated by a single player (not on my team unfortunately), different one each time since the matches never carried over. Love the game when it works but sadly my lack of map knowledge and general skill might be what kills it for me, not the technical errors. I can usually hold my own in fps games. I'm that guy with a 1.0 kdr lifetime across all games (roughly speaking).

They seem to be working today.

I just need 3 of mine to unlock from the day before yesterday, they tracked however.

I had one, but it was as "unlocking" in the achievement list, so I guess that, if it didnt already unlock, it will sooner or later, since it was registered.

It would take a lot and I mean a lot for Ford to express disappointment in any shape or fashion against the MS brand.

Lol made breakfast, did my laundry, went to the bathroom all in the time it took to find a match.

Did this game even get tested?
Surprised it didn't just kick me out.
